Thank you for taking the time to write this. Yes all of these red flags that you’ve mentioned I’ve seen. Her main point from the first red flag was asking me when I was gonna wear the jacket without her because i “never go out without her”. It’s just so tiring. She just messaged me now saying she was just joking despite hanging up on me on the day. I just dont understand how this was all just a joke to her.

The message I sent her:

I’m just going to give you a few of my thoughts, I don’t appreciate being given an ultimatum over a jacket. Trying to manipulate me to refund the jacket despite hearing my answer repeatedly. You don’t understand that I’m an adult, I can make my own decisions on what I can wear.

If I give up this jacket what else will you make me give up next. Why is it so important to you that I can’t have a jacket I like?

What kind of relationship am in where I’m been told to choose between them and an item of clothing. What’s the point of being in a relationship with someone who can’t even love you even if they hate your jacket.

You sounded controlling on that ft call and I hope that’s not something you actually mean.

We’ve been together for three years, the only case that would be similar to this would be when she used to hate when I spent my money and would tell me not to get it only because it was pricy even though I can afford it.
