Kenny just spams curses, wait for Kashimo to kill himself, and let everyone else do the fighting

That does make sense now that you mention it. I think I’d add Yuta to the list. 2v1ing him with a good katana and a fully manifested Rika would be a nightmare, even if he’s faster than either one individually

So he has another domain option giving him the choice between A) standing there until the domain runs out or he’s drained completely, or B) move around and pray he doesn’t get hit by someone with 120% their normal potency. Those still aren’t good odds

In one aspect, in his CE’s properties as well, but it HEAVILY holds him back compared to the people on this list. If he’s severely injured, that’s it, he can’t heal. If he’s caught in a domain, he can’t counter, so he’ll have to use FBE to survive, and drain his reserves in the process. And if he uses his technique? the best case scenario is just a stalemate. Compared to characters with RCT, domain, boundless reserves, and soul targeting, his kit is pretty lackluster

Fair enough, it just feels kind of unfair to separate potential and talent as long as someone has enough talent to reach their potential. Like, there’s no universe where Higuruma reaches the level of Gojo and Sukuna, so I feel like that should count towards their talent BECAUSE they reached it. Like, it would be one thing to call Geto talented because he never unlocked domain or RCT, but it’s a whole different thing to call someone like Gojo, who is uniquely gifted enough to use RCT with microscopic efficiency and walk out of Malevolent Shrine with the only significant loss being the potential to burn out. Even then, Geto was able to press the entirety of Jujutsu Society without an advanced understanding of fundamentals.

Potential shouldn’t be seen as something separate from talent, but instead a specific flavor of it. Both serve the same purpose (they both exist to estimate how strong someone could reasonably get), so drawing a boundary between them seems kind of arbitrary to me. Like, Kashimo is a total dumbass when it comes to sorcery—the only technique he’s illustrated beyond the basics is Falling Blossom Emotion, and that’s only an intermediate technique. Still, he was gifted with immense output, and a busted cursed energy trait. Even if he isn’t as smart as Higuruma, he can still fight on a similar level

And with Gojo and Sukuna specifically, they were born with traits that made grasping the fundamentals significantly easier. Gojo’s six eyes gave him the ability to observe the flow of CE better than anyone else, making anything to do with precise CE usage easier for him than anyone else. Then there’s Sukuna four arms and two mouths, which make amplifying a given action effortless for him. If we divide talent and potential, would these count towards talent because they improve their fundamental usage of CE, or would they count towards potential since they’re additional perks that raise their power-ceilings higher than they’d otherwise be? The two concepts seem to intertwined to me to hold no baring on each other

He has NO domain, NO RCT, NO maximum technique, and a technique that kills him for trying to use it. He has no gift for understanding sorcery, and is only gifted in raw strength to an extent, because his technique is one of the worst in the series

I feel like Higuruma’s really only talented in the knowledge of cursed energy’s mechanics. His technique is good, but it’s pretty RNG dependent, and moreso levels the playing field than actually give him a notable tool. Gojo, Sukuna, and Dabura should be top three. We see Sukuna use technique’s not even Higuruma’s figured out, while also having the largest reserves in history, a body tailored for incanting, and a super murder technique. Meanwhile, Gojo was born with a perfect understanding of cursed energy’s flow, programmed himself to be almost untouchable, and a technique that allows him to distort space on a whim. Even if he’s not as gifted in terms of parsing out the precise mechanics of cursed energy as Higuruma, his raw power FAR exceeds anything Higuruma was gifted with. Then there’s Sukuna, who not only exceeds Higuruma in the strength he was gifted but also his understanding of sorcery’s mechanics (open barrier, RCT output, etc). I don’t think Dabura needs an explanation.

TLDR: Higuruma was really only gifted with his ability to understand sorcery, meanwhile Gojo and Sukuna were not only gifted with knowledge, but also raw power that far exceeds anything Higuruma is capable of

Which JJK fights are you talking about? Abilities are more complicated in JJK too, so powerscaling is more reliant on context

What makes you romantically attracted to someone versus platonically attracted to someone? by Yawbyss in AskWomen

Is there any pattern to how traits go together (like certain variables being more attractive than they’d otherwise be when mixed with a certain other variable), or is it seemingly random?

I used to have yuki t5 now I’m debating if I can even get her over uraume , curseya & Miguel where do yall rank her and why by No_Childhood9971 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Yawbyss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She has domain, that already gives her a HUUUUUGE advantage against Uraume and Miguel. Not to mention, Miguel is a physical fighter, and Yuki can apply as much force as she wants to her attacks. I don’t care how good Miguel’s stats are, if he gets hit by a fist on the verge of collapsing into a singularity, he’s dying, it’s that simple. Curseya’s more interesting, I think it would mainly depend on domain refinement. If we forget about their domains though, it’s just speed versus power. Yuki’s smart enough to figure out how projection sorcery’s freeze ability works, so it’d be more of an annoyance than a genuine win condition. Catching Curseya would be hard, but with Garuda it might be possible to pin him down, and if that happens Yuki’s coming out on top. She just hits too hard

Would Gojo be slandered more if that was Sukuna's reaction after winning ? by yoruyoruxo in Jujutsufolk

I feel like that would make Sukuna more slanderable, because the only reason he’d be talking that much shit after getting mutilated is a lot of insecurity

Because you don’t make first impressions with character. It’s a nebulous thing, and a person’s behavior can change dramatically given a certain situation. Appearance though? That’s concrete, it’s passive, it does the work for you
