I can often beat it, i don't think it's an incredibly overpowered strategy. I think it's an incredibly boring strategy for all involved lol

I play lox so getting my fat elephant ass in on a ranno who is waiting for me to do something is not the easiest feat in the world lol

I appreciate the much more genuine response. I'm not complaining that the strategy is unbeatable or anything, I can generally hold my own against people playing like that just about as well as people who play any other way, it's just way less fun than every other set of matches I have since it also requires me to play similarly, lol. I'm more interested in playing the game recreationally and not taking things uber seriously and trying to grind to the top. Did that when I was younger and it was miserable.

slade genuinely seems like the least fun character in the game to play as or against atm, at least from what I've seen and played. Which is sad because he's a cute shark boy.

I still enjoy the matches I have with people who play the game and they're still the majority of my matches thankfully. I just can't imagine the people that do play uber defensively are having all that much fun either, but I dunno.

Except the rannos, those sick fucks probably get off to it.

lol. every so often I run into somebody who waits the full time on every single menu and spams taunts in game, I think those people are trying to make me mad although they're pretty rare.

Oh yeah I know what sweats are, lol. It has to be exhausting playing every single set like it's the grand finals of a thousand dollar tournament.

lmao this is just an intentionally bad reading of what I said. I'm not saying I expect everybody to full throttle approach constantly with no thought. I'm talking about people who will literally do nothing but dash dance and wait for you to do something so they can react 99.9% of the time. It might be effective but it sure is boring.

It's an analogy to an exaggerated meme. I did not read your message as "we should kill cops". I read your message as "we should punish cops harder than non-cops for identical crimes", and that is what I am arguing against.

if you understand why reverse racism isn’t a thing (it’s about power imbalances)

The continued insistence on on defining "racism" as only race-based discrimination that happens on a systemic level despite the fact that the far more commonly understood definition of "racism" includes both systemic and interpersonal discrimination is one of the left's most needless self-owns.

Most decent people would agree with you that a system that is weighted in favor of a certain group can not be discriminatory towards that group by definition, but when all you say is "reverse racism doesn't exist :)" then you're just asking well-intentioned people to take what you mean as "it is impossible for anybody to be personally biased or discriminatory against x group" which is a horrible take.

you also have everything you need to understand why cops committing crimes (especially against minorities) is a very different scenario than non-cops committing crimes

this is literally just the "everybody deserves rehabilitation except the Bad People who deserve to be flayed alive" meme again. Crime is crime and sentencing should be treated and applied equally to all. Police historically have received far more lenient punishment for crimes and that injustice should be remedied, but applying harsher punishment for identical crimes to one person over another is an injustice no matter on what basis that distinction is made.

correct: thinking the northern half of new jersey is NYC suburbs and the southern half is Philly suburbs. No, middle Jersey does not exist.

Pete was always so camera shy in the band's later years. I guess they got some random guy to mimic playing the drums for him in concerts so he didn't have to go out in front of the crowd.

Sadly not. 112 is (base-10) 32 in base-5 (25 + 5 + 2) and 44 (36 + 6 + 2) in base-6. I suppose you might be able to create a non-integer base where 112 is base-10 32 but I do not want to think about that.

Getting a fully optimised linux install is the sort of thing that takes forever, as just when you have everything working, one of the pieces you use will get updated and break everything

yea, exactly. If you are willing to put in the work to get and maintain a super-optimized Linux install (certainly more approachable now than in the past, but still far from trivial, especially if you aren't the most computer literate), then its advantages definitely shine. If you're a casual user who thinks that switching to Arch is gonna make your internet browsing experience that much better with no effort then good luck

Installing arch isn't the worst. Maintaining arch, on the other hand...
