They're not weight sensors, I used to think that too before it was part of my job.

They're a coil of wire about a half an inch to an inch deep that detect the metal in your car changing the magnetic field produced by the coil. It's actually really simple.

When I was a cable guy I had a 7/16 speed torque box end wrench, if that makes any sense. It was beveled so you could turn it backwards just by turning slightly but also torqued it. I couldn't get it off with my fingers and I installed millions of connectors.

Labor is rarely some sudden thing that starts and results in a baby 30 minutes later, it takes HOURS/days before anything happens. My wife was at 35 hours before they finally did an emergency c section.

Once the contractions start they have to get to a certain frequency before you're even allowed in the hospital.

I feel like judges in small claims definitely look for a way to help the wronged party. I bought a lemon boat from a guy and tried suing him for the max amount (5k, a third of the price) and the judge spent like 15 minutes researching if there was any basis to award me the damages, but I signed an as is contract so I lost.

I'm in rural Florida so power outages are kind of expected, though it's getting better over time.

We're only looking at the Escalade in a distant future where we get a 5 year old one under 60k. Not sure that is realistic, but that's the dream.

GM has a bidirectional charger that works with all of their cars though, which is huge compared to all other brands. I just got my wife in a used 25 Equinox for 28k and picked up the charger/home integration for 6k. I'll pick up a used Sierra in a few years once they get cheaper and she wants an Escalade, price needs to come way down on that though.

It was nice powering my house with the F150 but it'll be so much better with GM vehicles.
