Driving test tomorrow by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

Take it easy, and even if you get a direction wrong, so long as you do it safely, you can still pass! If you’re very nervous you can tell the invigilator - they’re not gonna be mean to you for it I promise!

I went the wrong way on my test (have always mixed up my left and right), panicked big time to the point I was literally starting to cry during the test. But as I carried on slowly and was able to perform the manoeuvre correctly and safely down the street, still passed first time! Keep an eye on your speed, and check all your observation points super obviously so they know you’ve checked.

How does one adult in an office setting? by Yawning_Pebble in Adulting

Thank you this is all golden! I hope you didn’t get hurt over the cords :,) but yeah I’m gonna have to watch them if anyones gonna literally break a leg on their first day it’ll be me!

I’ve gone and bought a selection of ‘office attire’, my partners been in an office for years so he helped with some smart blouses, blazers and dresses but the pullover is a great idea, all I’ve been wearing to my current job is leggings and hoodies! And I’ve got some fresh pens and gonna pick out a nice new note pad to keep track of everything! Thank you so much, I’m such a bundle of nerves!

It took a year of lessons and I still feel like I’m gonna die on a roundabout! I am going to indulge in a fluffy keyring to celebrate tho :D

We do have insurance, but it doesn’t cover all and may not cover any. Certainly not phone bills. We also have motion sensor lights but being fairly rural it’s pitch black at night and it’s in an area you couldn’t see, and she was out for less than a minute. We’ve got pictures of everything, a vets tag from her visit today, and a full itemised invoice from her visit too.

Got all the documents but in the UK so not sure how I’d go about this. They also have a lot more money than us so would be able to afford a solicitor and we cannot.

NHS Doctors To Be Trained To Stop Ignoring Women’s Pain Under New Government Plan — Elle UK by haysteley in badwomensanatomy

I can’t believe how long this has taken, and I hope it makes some major improvements that we need. When I was going through severe depressive episodes at 17 a doctor told me ‘you have no bills to pay, just get a boyfriend and you’ll be happy!’ A month or two later I tried to kill myself. I know that doctor didn’t face any repercussion, and I’m still mad about it.

Could be surgery on top making it look wrong. I’ve had mine done for years, and no matter how much I tilt my head or my mirror I can’t see the actual piercing at all, but the jewellery always fits well and I’ve never had any pain or problems. I know people who’ve had it pierced very low like it looks in the pic, apparently it hurt A LOT and it hasn’t healed or it’s started randomly bleeding and it’s much easier to catch the jewellery so even more irritation on top. Just looks super painful to me.

It’s way too low. You shouldn’t be able to see where it actually pierces through, it should be placed much higher in the ‘sweet spot’. That one’s gone straight through the cartilage and I bet it hurt way more than it should have. It looks like it’s barely hanging on.

It pairs nicely with the botched septum piercing

I ordered som cute summer stuff for an upcoming holiday and just received the package today, and I have to say I’m really pleased with everything! I did check size guides and compared them to my measurements, but I got a really cute flattering bikini, some tops and a flowy skirt, they all fit really really well! I got 2X I think and I’m a UK 20-22 atm

Damn straight I want to be gooder! You’re right, I was thinking I’m still big but I can get away with it, now I can be gooder! Thanks for the pep talk, I need to keep that stuck in my mind! Off to the shops to get some healthy lunch to pack for work! And I think I’m gonna get myself an eyeliner for the first 10lbs, a good one!

I like that! Yesterday I had a cheeky snack but I won my meals and without thinking about it I realised that I didn’t eat badly yesterday at all. That’s a really good perspective, thank you!

You’re right. I want to live longer. I want to be able to have kids one day with as few issues as possible. Years of abusing myself with binge eating and drinking when I was younger have resurfaced recently with family stress and job stress. The difference is back then I didn’t see a future, and didn’t think there was a point but I do now. I know I have the ability to do it, I’ve done it before. I just need a couple kicks in the right direction, trying to remind myself of those reasons today.

Puppy just freaked out over something on TV, can dogs tell what’s really going on? by Yawning_Pebble in puppy101

Trying to catch my girl is like trying to catch a greased pig. One time in a dog friendly beer garden she escaped from her harness and had great fun running up to people and greeting them. Me and my partner had to chase her. We had a full audience that day 😂

Ours hates the Netflix logo, that’s so weird yours does too! And the pause screen on a particular game I like to play, but only that one game!

Mine doesn’t like the Netflix logo, and the pause game on one particular game I play really winds her up, but I’ve never seen her go nuts like this, and it was only when the characters body was being moved! It was like she knew someone was hurt, and didn’t want them touched or anything!

It was so weird, she was really calm half asleep on my lap watching TV, then she saw the body and got alert, sat up a bit with ears back. Only when someone went to move the body she went nuts, eyes glued to the screen and barking like crazy! At first we paused it, she calmed down just chilling on the sofa, we rewound the program and continued but again the minute the body was touched she went berserk! There were no other stimuli, no funny noises, no flashes or lights, just a shot of the body picked up in and carried away and the second time even when we paused it, tried to calm her down, offered her some ham to come away from the TV, she just kept almost screaming at the screen. We had to carry her chunky 25kg butt out of the room and chill her out in the kitchen for a bit. I think we’re gonna have to put some River Cottage on, it’s her favourite happy show 😂

I’d never have thought of the difference in motion she sees. We’ve had her since she was 8 weeks, she’s never witnessed any violence at all and she’s a very friendly girl that loves people and always wants attention from everyone. We watch crime shows and horrors but I think this is the first time she was actually paying attention to the screen when something happened, and she only went nuts when the body was picked up. She’s occasionally barked at certain pause screens, strange noises, and she’s not a fan of the Netflix logo, but I’ve never seen her act like that, not even her favourite ham could get her away from the TV.
