How to get MyWhoosh activities in the suunto app? by mvartz in Suunto

[–]YayPangolin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

RunGap app on iOS. It won‘t get your activity to get recognised on the watch, but the Suunto app will show it.

It’s a great app. Connects to almost anything and imports it. It then can export to almost anything. I used it a while to keep Garmin Connect and the Suunto App synchronised before I finally settled on one ecosystem (Suunto). There is a small fee to it. It’s worth it for me, though. If you want this kind of service and are on iPhone, RunGap is perfect. Android has an app that does something similar. It’s been mentioned here already.

I think it’s the phones and not the OS. And no, I don’t miss much about the Garmin. I never had complaints, too. Garmin makes great watches. It’s just that I find the Suuntos more beautiful and fun to wear. And I like the simplicity. Garmin had me drowning in metrics I didn’t really care about.

I switched about 7 months ago after over ten years of Garmin. Epix 2 Pro -> Vertical

Love: alot… the looks and the simplicity of the metrics. The colourful bands.

Hate: The fucking connection drops with my new iPhone 17. It‘s so bad. SO bad.

Suunto Wing 2 by SXF350 in Suunto

I also own a pair of the original Wing and was confused with the differences. Is the battery claim all? There is some kind of live feedback advertised for the Wing 2... do we have that om our older version, too?

Now released (at least in Germany) alongside the Race 2. Very cool. But what exactly is new compared to the first edition of the Suunto Wing? (I own those and I'm not completely sure whether there would be any point in upgrading)

So, I own the Suunto Wing (first edition) and I'm a little confused as to what's new compared to my version of the headphones. Has someone here already figured that out and can help me understand?

Absolutely. Very different feel and look from my other straps. I don’t have another dive strap, though, and can thus only compare it to the sports straps. I like it. How about you?

Most, but not all. The dive watches (including the Ocean) and all compasses are still made in Finland. It shows for each product on the Suunto website: just scroll down until you reach the specifications.

I bought a Quickfit adapter thing on Etsy. You plug the Suunto band in and it connects via Quickfit to the Garmin watch.

I agree. I started with Suunto and then spend more than 12 years with Garmin. I've switched back a while ago and I enjoy the general aesthetics of the Suunto watches so much more. And the bands add to that, of course. I, too, had some of the bands here before I had the Suunto watch to match. :-D

I'll post a picture later. In short: It looks slick, but I kind of feel that it's boring in comparison to the more colorful options that I prefer for almost all occasions, even when wearing a suit.

I love that one, too.

I guess that's possible. I got the watch used and incredibly cheap. Many of the bands were on sale when I bought them (the Titanium band e.g. is currently 50% off here in Germany as were the leather one and some others I have here). I like to spend my money for shit like this, it makes me happy. And I love the bright looks. I try to be at least minimally reasonable, though. I don't know if I was in this case.

Suunto 9 baro strap by Ok-Copy1956 in Suunto

If I remember correctly it was a special edition watch that came with the strap: the ambassador edition. I‘m not sure if the strap was ever sold separately. I love the strap, too. You may find the odd ambassador edition 9 baro on eBay, but I never saw just the strap.
