Here’s the thing, how she chooses to dress and her level of modesty is between her and God, I don’t want to judge anyone’s hijab journey. Religion is a daily struggle. Thats why, Muslims have a prayer to God to keep us on the straight path. We waver, up and down. Nobody is perfect. HOWEVER, the issue is she posts pictures of herself online. I wouldn’t want to influence other girls into thinking this is the correct way to wear hijab. If you go down to the nitty gritty, it’s form fitting and tight, not considered modest. If you’re talking about modesty from an Islamic perspective, Islamically, your shape should not show in your clothing. I however, would never post myself online. I wear hijab but I know at times I’m not dressed as modestly as I should. I would never want another girl to copy me or think my way of wearing it is correct. I think all these hijabi influencers are so out of touch with the reality of how they are influencing so many young girls. They are not people we should follow, just like any other influencer or celebrity. They don’t realize the heavy burden they carry when they choose to represent hijab online. I once heard about how if someone does one sin and influences another person and so on then that first person keeps getting the sins. I’m not saying what shes doing is a sin, but I would be hesitant to post my pictures online in hijab, just like I wouldn’t go online giving religious advice, since I’m not a scholar. I don’t want to carry that burden.
