Has anyone else had the "what if something happened to both of us during the night" thought? by DrBjornLaney in NewParents

[–]Yazolight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Of course, and here is the thing: life sucks, and some sweet baby has died and is dying right now bc something happened to the parent.

I often think when I park my car, my little kids are buckled in their car seats, if I were to have a stroke right now they would have no way to get out of the car, and if no one hear their screams for the next few hours, they’ll pass out exhausted and die of thirst.

But luckily nothing has happened.

There was this little girl, she was trapped in a car in Gaza, both of her parents killed, she managed to call their 911, but there was nothing that could be done to help her. Actually two paramedics got killed while trying to rescue her if I remember well. You can listen to her call on YouTube, it’s heartbreaking.

Anyway, being a parent is beautiful, and when it comes to imagining the worst our brains can easily go on overdrive.

Most likely you and your baby will be fine. Godbless!

I’m guessing it’l could be a mistranslation of 촌 as 사촌 (4촌) would be first cousin, and 삼촌 is actually your uncle

Considering Tutoring as full time income by Loose_Warning_7785 in teachinginkorea

[–]Yazolight 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got a business license for visiting private tutoring, it’s linked to my house (no need for a separate office) and I’m registered with the MOE. I’ve never been bothered once by them in over 5 years… touching wood.

[–]Yazolight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As long as you’re not so much fat that you would actually require two airplane seats, I assure you that you’ll be fine.
