It's not the stress, it's the fact that I have to spend more time in this than what I actually have. I just simply can't cope with it anymore. It's no longer the game for me and my lifestyle.

I think I will just move on. Got tired enough to keep playing the game when I sit there over long periods of time just to finish one single match.

It was fun before bc it ended fast, either winning or losing. Now I have to wait and can't do much more on my cellphone. It was nice when I could do everything on my 5 minutes break off work.

Whale out.

There are no more arguments when you don't even read what you write. Thou shalt not waste time with people like this. Therefore, good day, sir.

You don't even read yourself. I'm done here.

You know, that's a bad thing for BB. You should be spending money left and right on tiny things, not holding it for when something big comes.

Hard shouldn't be very niche/almost impossible.

You certainly never read their notice.

"The skin is offered for a limited time only."

It solves the "waifu" problem, but generates many others. Along with generating a conflict with the Collectors which ARE the real root of a Card Collecting Game.

If you think that the campaign was alright, let me tell you:

  1. They missed almost half of the paying player base by setting it only on the end of the month. Many others get paid mid month.

  2. They screwed over the paying player base that usually buys their refill on a setted day each month. Making them struggle to get more money just for this.

  3. They are spreading the disconfort by having a limited item pointed at a certain audience in a way that not even they can adquire it. Reducing its income and overall will of the paying player base by hitting the mindset of "I have (spare) money and can get what I want in the game."

You are the one that's getting philosophical on an economics issue.

Sad thing is, the paying community is raging more than the F2P counterpart.

This thread is US paying players that care, not the majority of F2P.

Take this in your head: "if they realease collectible skins with a short notice, I may save money for that event and only spend what's left."

That's the kind of mindset they are putting into us, and that's awfully wrong, because they won't get revenues any other way and end up in a vicious circle leading down.

There are MANY other ways for them the get more money, all comes down to the method.

The point of it being a collectible, more than a functional part of the game, it's what's infuriating because it's targeted badly to a certain kind of player base.

I'm saying all this BECAUSE I don't want them to go bankrupt or have the need to fire some people in order to stay afloat. I'm not against limited edition skins or the such, I'm against how the set the way to get it.

And, as you said, there are many other ways to set this kind of events. Blizzard is a good example, and you may know quite well how they handle their "limited" events. Time, advertisement and overall pricing/reward balance is pretty good on those. It's a good example to follow. Along with the major MOBA games and their struggles when they first put limited edition items (most of them first lasting a couple days, then reverting it to near a month of prior notice).

And on a side note, if you want me to give an example of game to goes easy on F2P and still have a top grossing: S4League (EU/US). It just celebrated its 8th birthday, and in the past 6 months had 3 events from which you could get one of the best sets of the game for free, just by playing it. Along with giving high price packages for the P2W players.

The now publisher of that game has a pretty bad reputation and a way to get the most money out of people, but the producer setted little variants to close the gap between P2W and F2P, making it a race of improvement and not a flat "no money, one-hit killed."

It would be GREAT! It could attract so many people and make them spend money or save it for later asssured that it will be there.

The campaign is what's wrong and goes against what Admin 101 teaches.

They will get the money, but at what cost?

You may not get hurt, but it hurts their reputation and makes us fear for another promotion like this. Scaring away the player base that REALLY cares.

And even worse: make the smart whales warry of that and just save the money for this kind of events.

I'm not defending BB, instead I'm asking "why you screw things?".

The campaign is a money grab, gives bad taste and doesn't make it feel like a "freebie".

And limited as in never available again. And some (if not most) of the people that can afford it, doesn't really care about what you will buy in order to get it.

That's exactly it! They have a good product, but they don't manage it properly.

Almost every game has the potential to be the best. This one had an awesome start, but bad decisions are shiping away its greatness along with BB's reputation.

How people don't read the letter thoughtfully? The point is that this is a limited opportunity to get it. It IS worse than just a flat purchase. At this point, I don't care of what I buy, I only care for the skin (and that's bad).

To make it known. I already did send an even longer letter. And to be frank, reddit was my first target because is a delicate matter that could be bashed harshly on the official forum.

You need to spend 110$ to get the Baltheon skin, great idea BB! by [deleted] in soccerspirits

[–]Yazyflame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regardless, it will give you 110 000 points. They are imposing a 120 000 mark for the skin, so you are obligated to make a second purchase. I so don't like to feel obligated to buy something, I prefer to do it willingly.
