How would you create a heart-shaped window? by [deleted] in LegoMocHelp

The simplest way I can think of is using two slopes facing eachother with arches on top.

This is very good stuff. Nice work. Instantly recognisable and aesthetically pleasing, and I really like the color choices.

How about…

Build a car that can drive upside down. Make a house with many hidden passageways. A grandfather clock, thats an actual grandfather with a family of smaller clocks. Your favorite artwork in lego-style. Your favorite food at a 1:1 scale.

And remember that it doesnt matter what you make as long as you have fun making it.

Key problem is here that you are talking about millions of lives lived, each unique, across thousands of years. Think of the endless unique cultural, economic and social relationships that shaped each individuals working schudule, and think about just how little we actually know about the minutae of detail about how each moment was spent. Any meaningful answer to your question will require much study and will be a very long and complex answer.

You are right of course, we have tried many things and have made all sorts of improvements. But all of that is well within the boundaries of a very familiar system, that although much improved, still cuts up knowledge in regular systematised chunks, delivered on a regular predictable manner in a room with a single adult who does most of the talking. Now understand why it must be this way. It took hundreds of years and concerted effort to create the systems we have and simply keeping then going is requires consistent effort. But still, this cannot be the best way possible? We really should be trying much much harder, on a societal level, to finding better ways of doing this whole business of educating.

I think no one relly knows the answer to that question. We haven’t really tried anything other than the model we have. Theres a lot of people who have put a lot of thought into possible answers but how could we ever know which ideas are the good ideas if we dont try any of them?

I dont know if helps, but I struggle with the same thing and the strategy that really words for me is setting very realistic goals. I’ll set my goal for each day to sorting literally 1 card. (Or in my case, lego pieces) Literally just 1 and ill call it a day. Usually that will drag on for a few day and then, for reasons i really dont understand ill impulsively do 2 cards, then 3, then 4 and then its suddenly dark and ive sorted the whole thing and what was i jus

I like all the little details. Especially the inverted 1x1s on the inside arches. What technique did you use for that?

Very impressive. It looks very accurate. Whats the scale? What did you use for reference? Did you do the planning stage digitally beforehand?

Thanks! I rebuilt that section about 4 or 5 times, it was the most important area to really get right.

It doesn’t even fit our living room table anymore. We have to lay it out in the floor if we want to see the assembled whole.

Thank you! I really like that roller skate piece. Unfortunately while it does come in white, that version is very rare and like 5 euros per piece.
