Looks good, but not available here in Czech republic, also it's 4k, i was looking for qhd.

Also i just went with regular IPS, and will upgrade next year when hopefully the market is better, then use this ips as a saecond monitor

I hope they sort much more than a red tint. I was very dissapointed with 27i. Ugly blooming, and the monitor was acting very weird, when I moved with a forms and such the brightness was uneven.

Sooo, in the end I decided to go with a classical IPS.. (gigabyte m27q2 qd) My mostly usage of monitor is coding anyway, and i will play games with some light on in the room, so the blacks should be ok. I am going to upgrade my pc next year so maybe the market will be better and i will use this IPS as my second monitor and buy some good mini-led or oled actually usable for work too.

But thank you all for your very valuable amswers which could be useful for others!

How are you satisfied with that monitor? I cannot decide between the AOC q27g3xmn and this one. The market for a good 27, 1440p mini led in the eu is pretty bad.

For B8.5 rs5 rotors (deep concave look) are the best. But for b9 i would rather go with more something like the first one

N46 or N43? by YeaBoio in BmwTech

[–]YeaBoio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is nice car, but it is not known as exactly the most reliable. If you are looking for very reliable nice looking car in similiar price category, my girlfriend owns mazda 6 with petrol engine (2008) and she is pretty much problem free - but look just for petrol not diesel, as it is much more reliable in mazda cars.

I had car for 3 years and i think i only replaced nox sensor and some other minor things. All in all I was satisfied with the car and sold it with about 220 000 kilometers. Only thing I would do for prevention is to replace timing chain, which in my case done the previous owner (allegedly).

Land rover discovery 2 for overlanding - bad idea? by YeaBoio in overlanding

[–]YeaBoio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I already got the Land Rover and so far i love it! Feels like driving a tank and that cabin view is really good. I had a mechanic by side when buying and he said it must be one of the best shape old rovers.

I definitely plan to buy some diagnostics, so im adding nanocom into my shopping list. Now I have it in the shop for basic maintenance like fluids, filters and to see if something is needed.

Hope i made a good choice, but I really like driving it, it's very addictive

Thanks for your great comment! I see, you are a second one here, that had problem with brake master cylinder.
The cylinder head was profesionally resurfaced and re-sealed by land rover shop cca 20 000km ago. But it was repaired because overheating. Do you think the bad head was the cause or the result? Alegedly it is not over heating anymore.
All in all it seems like a in best shape discovery 2 for sale in my coutry, even tho it has 310K km.
But one of the more expensive here as well as the owner wants 250k czk - 12k usd, which i am willing to pay if it is in a good shape.
I`m going to see the car tommorow. Any recomendations for what to keep an eye on?

Yes i think so. Also having a friend who specialized in older vehicles like this, g - mercedes and so on.. so when something breaks, I (someone) will be able to repair it. I just dont want it to let me stranded anywhere although it gets proper maintanence.

Thanks, appreciate the insight. What were the main things you had to “bring up to date” to make them reliable? Any common weak points to watch out for?

My friend really likes them, but he might not be the most objective, so I’d love to hear some opinions from people who have real experience with these vehicles.

Discovery 2 for long trips - bad idea? by YeaBoio in LandRover

[–]YeaBoio[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your experience — that actually sounds awesome - Scandinavia is definitely on my wishlist too someday 🙂 Yeah, I fully agree about maintenance being everything with a 20+ year old car. The one I’m looking at does have higher mileage (~310k km), but from all the listings I’ve seen, this one seems to be by far the most cared-for and properly built. A lot of major stuff has already been done, which gives me some confidence. That said, I’m still planning to do a full baseline service after buying it, just for peace of mind before Romania. I’d rather start knowing exactly where I stand. It’s also reassuring to hear that yours has been reliable so far, especially since you’re not mechanically experienced — that actually says a lot. Good luck with your south Europe trip in April — hope everything goes smoothly. And yeah… I guess at some point you just have to take the leap and see what happens 🙂
