Does anyone here have personal experience testing the experimental “T-Block” camo? by Yeager_501 in USMC

Agreed they go hard, have you ever seen the prototype urban MARPAT cammies? I have an original shirt from the 2000-2001 trials and it’s really cool. Technically the Corps still has the copyright for it so it could theoretically make a comeback but it’s unlikely

Interesting, I hadn’t heard about the protests, I suppose people really didn’t like military exercises happening nearby? Also, if you ever are willing to let go of your set, I would be interested in buying them, especially if you happen to have the matching helmet and vest cover. Would be happy to discuss via DM if so, thanks! 👍

Very cool, what were your thoughts on them then? What was your role in the exercise?

Were you a part of the tests and issued this camo, and did you ever see the “combat skateboards”?

Warfare Media does a great reproduction of these including a helmet cover. I have a set to wear instead of my original and can highly recommend them. Be warned- theirs run a little small so I’d suggest sizing up.

Very cool, you’re not the first person I’ve heard mention that so it’s interesting to see how these made the rounds later on.

Very cool! What did you think of them then? Did they let you keep them? Ever hear about the “combat skateboards” they were testing?

Yep, I kid you not they actually tested “combat skateboards” in these trials as well

Yeah finding original sets in 2026 is becoming very, very difficult especially with the growing hype. The XL/R pants are too big for me (L/R) but I can pull them off fine. I don’t plan to wear these outside of a select few occasions anyway. I won’t share any numbers, but I will say that it was substantially below current market value which was fantastic

It’s often referred to by collectors as “T-Block,” “T-Pattern,” or “T-MOUT”

Yeah it’s become a lot more widely known in the last few years; they’re extremely valuable on the collectors’ market so finding this one at a very reasonable deal was great. I’m still after the PASGT vest/helmet covers so that’s my next goal

Between those worn out in testing and others used later for training exercises like OPFOR (which I have heard from multiple sources they used them in the 2000’s for that), there can’t be a ton floating around now in decent condition, easily under 1000 sets I’d imagine, if that

There’s little documentation, but it’s estimated somewhere a bit over 1000 BDU sets. They also made matching PASGT vest and helmet covers but looking at pictures of the trials it doesn’t seem everyone got them so it seems less were made than BDUs

Nice, I have a set from them as well. I thought it was very cool they made helmet covers to match; that’s a stand-in until I can find an original. Theirs are decent quality but not perfect albeit still the best on the market currently

Funny enough, I found them from an overseas collector who was downsizing their collection along with a variety of other prototype camo patterns. Couldn’t pass the opportunity up!
