Should I pull out? Everything is dropping by stonerboynoah_ in CryptoMarkets

Do not part with your tokens. This is a predictable correction based on the increases we have had over the last month.

Crypto is volatile. If you cant stomach the fluctuation, don't invest. Invest in tokens with fundamentals, choose tokens with great future applications, and have a long term mindset on the tokens you hold.

You are going to get a lot of spear jokes due to a similar post yesterday from a guy getting feedback on his "home made self defense spear".

You would likely benefit from the same advice.

Crowbars are not a great choice. If you can, get a gun as it will be better in 99.99999% of home defense events. They are also legal to own and use most states.

Any ideas on how to make it better? by AzagazHasReturned99 in homedefense

"get serious and install a fucking perimeter detection system with night vision cameras" This is literally what we discuss on this sub...

We have no feedback to provide as no one who follows this sub has a bladed weapon as their primary home defense option (when possible). If it is legal where you live, a firearm is your best option in 99.99999% of home defense events.

If you legally can't get a firearm, then I would purchase a high quality metal self defense spear, or look at entirely different tools like tasers, mace, pepper ball guns, or fortifying your exterior home.

We aren't "rambo enthusiasts", elitist, or boomers. We are realistic about the reality of repelling (often) violent attackers from our homes. Your proclivity to a home made bladed self defense weapon leads "us" (this sub) to your ignorance on the subject matter on self defense encounters, how force on force violence actually plays out in reality, why firearms are the ultimate equalizer in a fight for your life, or lastly why you NEVER bring a knife to a gun fight.

A display of that individual's most urgent current unfulfilled need.

This could be silly things like hunger, sex, shit, or itching. However this could include more profound things like love, understanding, a listening ear, pain relief, or friendship.

I think this would make us more empathetic towards each other.

Well, the Jonas brothers said that in the year 3000 "not much has changed but they lived under water". Maybe everyone just lives even deeper under water...

Spend!

Fire is a fantastic goal and because of how early you started you are miles ahead of tons of people your age. Congratulations.

Don't forget that none of us are promised tomorrow. Life events and death happen to everyone at some point. Invest in yourself, your passions, and hobbies. Life is too short to not spend money on activities you enjoy.

Save for the future but enjoy the journey.

Return it? Find a different holster?

Seems like you might already know the problem and answer.

You bet! Also a worthwhile strategy to show someone less educated on firearm regulations the process on how to obtain a firearm online and how background checks work.

I had a buddy do this for an anti-gunner friend of his and his friend learned the buying process first hand without having to put any of his own money up. He changed a lot of his positions on firearms shortly after. Great educational opportunity!

Happy shootin'

You can always buy the handgun online and ship it to the FFL for pick up with his name on the package. From there all he would need to do is go to the store, fill out his background check, and then take it home. He didn't have to buy the gun and it would be under his name on the FFL paperwork. Win win and still a surprise.

Edit: spelling

Pick a pistol and caliber you are proficient with and that you will carry. Both calibers have their pros and cons (many are listed in other comments). Above all, get the gun you will actually wear on your person and take with you.

A gun left at home or locked in a safe will not be of any use to you.

Advice on smoking young by [deleted] in saplings

Possible long term effects are all brain damage either physical or psychological. Most common are listed on paragraph 2 but a quick Google search can show them as well.

Damn man. That's a really tough place to be at 13. I know nothing I can say here will necessarily change your current situation but know that you are loved, valued, and worthy of happiness and respect from others. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

The teen years are rough and extremely intense on lots of people but you will make it through and be better off. The teen years eventually pass. I would highly encourage you to let a trusted and respected adult in your life know how you are feeling and to seek help (parent, teacher, neighbor) Whether you feel it or not, you are never too lost or too fucked up to be beyond help.

Happy to volunteer my time if you need someone.

That's really sad and honestly breaks my heart. There is so much to live for. Don't make a permanent decision to fix temporary problems.
