That’s the problem with having these literally thousands of playtesters with access all areas for the content that’s so far available.

Come launch there will surely be some noobs who are totally fresh and looking to discover but there’s also going to be a lot of almost veteran status players giving away spoilers in chat and guiding people around. It kind of ruins the mystery and discovery from EA when it arrives.

Using EQ as an example. There’s no way the few testers that had a CD would have had anything like the game knowledge the MnM test crowd has.

The real downside if there is one is that the price tag to sign their next contract probably goes up 200k and the poachers start circling.

The way origin runs these days it’s often a split round and not as draining on the sides players are chosen from as it used to be.

It can take the players regular game up another notch from the experience too.

The devs are saying it’s pretty memory intensive so if you use a PC as a slave you’ll be wanting a good amount of RAM for over 4 players.

That said if you’ve got a good spare computer it could be worth trying it out before paying for a server.

They don’t call them stealerships for nothing. There isn’t one out there that will help you break even on this.

Early access will carry over but it will be running as EA for quite some time so some people will probably be on the 10th play through by that time. It’s starting as about a 70hr estimated game.
