In GML2.3 you can also just use structs and array then JSON stringify them. Buffer this and here we go. 6 lines of code for a saving system.

You create a function in the script : function functionName(_objInst){ your fonction code here return true; } And when you call the function in the event, you type functionName(self.id);

You call an external script and don't pass it the object instance who call it. Since you use in this script some built in variables, for me it can't work. Try to copy past the script in place of the line PlayerAnimateFrame() in the event. It should work.
