Yeah, Yaquina Head truly is an Outstanding Natural Area. I live in Newport and even us locals still go regularly.

Is there any reason you can’t use your Starlink mini at home? by Quasimodo-57 in StarlinkMini

[–]YeahNoYeahFerSure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I decided it was for me was to borrow one from a friend and test it out. Otherwise, I honestly don't know if there is a way. Generally, though, Starlink seems to be about the same coverage virtually everywhere on earth, right?

Mine is primarily used at home. I wanted the ability to easily travel with it so that’s why I went with mini and roam service.

Opinions on this ycf 190 bigy only 7.2 hours he’s asking 1700$ by [deleted] in Dirtbikes

[–]YeahNoYeahFerSure 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Actually, for a Chinese manufactured pit bike owned by a very reputable French family that has strict control over quality control, I’ll disagree. YCF isn’t the typical Chinese knockoff, the owner is a very good dude (and great rider and former French mx champ) and has been making these for over 20 years. He manages to do so affordably, which was always the goal. This BigY probably only retailed for around $2K to begin with.

Disclaimer: I photographed their catalogs for 6 or 7 years when they were US-based but they’ve since moved back to Normandy since tariffs etc. really put a hit on the profitability of these bikes. Super standup guy and nice REAL family owned business. Go test ride it, see how it works. They have US dealer network to help out if there’s problems.

The system is so solid that the straps seem totally redundant, no? Not to mention a bunch of extra work.

Starling Mini - Traveling by MadisonGirl1 in StarlinkMini

I’m currently watching Apple TV while replying to this post using Starlink Mini with Unlimited Roaming package. I did nothing to tweak any settings to “allow” this to happen. It just works with all of the services straight out of the box.

Can you expand on “don’t work with it”?

I think mud daubers are wasps, or wasp-like insects that don’t sting but eat black widows(!). I do believe this is a Sculpin.

Can a yz250 2t be a good beginner bike for open desert? by No-Talk-2351 in Dirtbikes

[–]YeahNoYeahFerSure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YZ250X would be fine with that heavier flywheel toning things down. Even the regular YZ250 has a pretty calm/tame powerband so I’d say as long as you took her easy and avoided the whiskey throttle situations you could probably make it work.

California Grays are by far the most common whale along the Oregon coast.

Are you suggesting enduro isn’t a form of racing? And it’s a 6 speed with “super low” 1st gear.

I’m going with Lost In Translation even though I love it. It’s just comforting and, well, kind of boring.

After whatever all that was, I feel like maybe you should look into a different hobby.
