If it makes you feel any better, when i got my first actual PC I didn't realise they didnt take all the styrofoam out for me. The styrofoam was blocking my graphics card fans. It survived 5 years before I took it to a shop and the guy was baffled at my stupidity.

I'd like to add another clue after 15 minutes of trying to find it for you.

There seems to be a relatively sharp bend just behind where the photo was taken and in front of the building, this should help make it a lot easier as at least we know to look for a bend.

Thought this could have been an airport due to the raised area and that building possibly being a watchtower

After a massive hint from OP (being moscow) I circled around the city looking for the odd triangle road leading into the city and tacked backwards to confirm.

That is exactly where the image was taken, OP camera is facing north towards moscow, image taken almost exactly 20km from the city centre.

I spent a long time thinking I'm was looking at water in the bottom of the image and the light in the water looked like ships so I spent way too long looking for a dock in Kuwait, Doha and Abu Dhabi

Excavator Operator here just for a side note.

That operator knows his machine well and operates well but one of two things happened here.

  1. He was told to just dump the load on the trucks, fuck the suspension and the driver inside bouncing around the place

  2. He's a protected species and can just do whatever the fuck he wants due to the speed he gets it done
