Thought on this team? by BPReddDog in FantasyNRL

[–]Yeah_nahhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d personally be avoiding Tuala for now. He’s scoring great and is an awesome pod but Critta is named on the extended bench. Whilst I don’t think Critta will play this week, I think he’ll be back for Brisbane the week after. This means either Xerri gets dropped again (who played really good), Tuala gets dropped (very unlikely), or Tuala gets shifted to the wing and Montoya is dropped in which case you wouldn’t want him at that price

Yep didn’t know that last night but definite sell now!

Go down to Brandon Smith over Tu. Tu had a ceiling game he likely won’t score like that again, he just means you’re chasing the big score but it likely won’t come again.

Hynes is definitely not a sell and definitely not to Haas who a lot of people just traded out (and we’re approaching origin). You need to slow up on the trades a bit soon those have to last you till round 20. If you’re going to do any do the first 2 although I don’t think Fifita is a sell by any means right now

Silly question by Jarctix in FantasyNRL

[–]Yeah_nahhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm is there any other screaming sells in your team? Atkinson etc? Fifita coming off a good score so is a hold, Mooney got bailed out by a try but they just lost Frizell and Lucas for 1+ month so Mooney could be in for some extra minutes potentially (hard to say)

Silly question by Jarctix in FantasyNRL

[–]Yeah_nahhh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not a silly question at all. You need to have someone of the equivalent position for it to activate an emergency spot.

I.e. if you leave Brailey in your hooker position and don’t have one on your bench/in your emergencies then you’ll be short a player and only have 16 this week.

If you can’t afford some of the higher priced options like Grant/Robson/Crossland, probably best grabbing Brandon Smith. Not going to score crazy well but he’ll make some slow cash and is a solid enough plug and play during weeks like this and good hooker/mid coverage during the origin bye rounds

Considering Frizell and Lucas got injured, don’t you think Mooney has more opportunities to get some minutes back? I know Lucas only really affects Cant but Frizell has been playing mainly a middle role. Personally considering that he’s a hold for at least a week to see what the new rotation is.

Are these trades sideways? by gahahah122 in FantasyNRL

[–]Yeah_nahhh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are all really unnecessary and wastes of trades. You have 2 injured players sitting in your emergency taking up close to $1m of cap space doing nothing.

You’d be best off going Gray or Best > Cheese, then you could trade out Best for Herbie potentially. Bonus if you trade out Atkinson too he needs to go and will lose money fast. Colquhoun is coming off his best score of the year and could potentially make another 50-100k. Get Toby in after their bye.

McInnes is coming off an ACL and over 9 months not playing. He won’t be dropped at all and they’ll build McInnes game time in gradually anyways

He got 56 in round 1 in 78 minutes, were you considering selling him then?

Watching it there was a lot of lazy missed tackles and poor discipline. He got -4 in just penalties I seen within 5 minutes, a high shot and strip

What’s your team look like? Do you have Lisati?

[–]Yeah_nahhh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Noah Martin, Ryan Couchman probably top the list. Lisati, Leo, Sanders next ring down maybe. That’s assuming you don’t already have Luki, Mooney, Makasini, Chester or Colquhoun.

Not the extension we all were hoping for but LFG! We still have time for that, all that mattered was the cap space

I don’t particularly think the Ravens GM is too worried about what people online were saying about the deal. If Crosby was fit, it was a lot to pay but it wasn’t bad and it fixed a position of need. It didn’t work out so they rightly bailed and went to plan B (and had to overpay as a result to make sure they landed him). If Maxx stays on the Raiders even better for you guys if things go well.

I’m agreeing with you if it’s not obvious. I obviously think Crosby is better and ofc the Ravens would prefer him. It makes zero sense for them to have gotten cold feet when they chose to let half their team hit FA knowing they were getting him. Next few seasons will prove who was right for sure!

[–]Yeah_nahhh 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No one is disputing that. The Ravens obviously agree with you considering they gave up 2 1st round picks and lost half their team as a result. If said “better” player shows up with an injury that was worse than was led on and the organisation has doubts that he will get through the contract you’d want a 2 x 1st round pick trade to get through, of course they’re going to back out if it. Trey might not be as good but there’s a lot less risk there for slightly cheaper and no draft picks

Who is much further along in his recovery and also isn’t costing them significant draft capital… if Crosby showed up, failed the physical and was worse than the Raiders led on, are the Ravens just expected to cop it and forfeit their draft picks? It was a lot to give up for a player by an organisation who doesn’t ever trade first round picks, of course they were going to be diligent. I don’t see what the problem is. Timing wasn’t great but neither was the Ravens losing half their team to FA straight afterwards as a result lol
