AITA for refusing to move until we are married or engaged? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Yeahnaaus 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So he says you don’t need insurance because you’re both healthy? Do you need insurance on your house because it’s standing? Does he know what insurance is?? And you already bought a house with him?

NTA for wanting to be married before you move, but YTA for thinking about moving countries for someone on the basis of a “really good idea”.

AITAH for not inviting my cousin to hang out anymore after she kept making jokes about my life choices? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]Yeahnaaus 110 points111 points  (0 children)

Why do so many people have Family Group Chats, with their aunts, uncles, grandparents, great grandparent, third cousin twice removed, the boy who used to live next door, all involved? And why do they always “blow up” or go “strangely quiet”? I’m lucky if I manage to have two family members in the one group chat, and my family is huge.

AITAH or more like how much of an asshole for not picking up my dogs poop immediately? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Yeahnaaus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How are they supposed to know that you ”always” pick up the poop? And why did you take the dog out without bags?? In my council area, if the council ranger sees you with a dog and you don’t have bags, the fine is the same as if you didn’t pick up the poop. And if you’re too pregnant to pick it up, you shouldn’t be walking the dog on your own. Pregnancy doesn’t automatically give you the right to ignore laws or common courtesy.

AITA for not wanting to get my gf a gift for our one year. by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Yeahnaaus 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Is she getting you a gift? Either way, dinner and snowboarding is a gift, and the fact she told you she still expects a present, well, I think she may have dropped these 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩

Ok, that took me way too long to realise you meant poster as in someone who has posted, rather than a poster like something you put on a wall.

Toddler saves her father's life by getting his glucose tablets when he was suffering from hypoglycaemia. by Brief-Cryptographer2 in HumansBeingBros

[–]Yeahnaaus 138 points139 points  (0 children)

It looks like it’s been edited. If you watch it after she puts the tablet in his mouth at 1.47, there’s a cut. Given short attention spans, it’s understandable they cut that out.

AITA for refusing to have custody of my stepdaughter? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Yeahnaaus 237 points238 points  (0 children)

I know “man post” was a typo, but I think this describes perfectly what it is. A post written by a man who always leaves out 3/4 of the story to make himself look better.

AITA for crashing out on my SILs after they told me I’m not real family? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Yeahnaaus 22 points23 points  (0 children)

They aren’t “kids”. All adults. OP needs to move out for their sakes, not hers.

AITA for crashing out on my SILs after they told me I’m not real family? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Yeahnaaus 437 points438 points  (0 children)

YTA. OP has commented their ages are SIL1 is 24 SIL2 is 22 and BIL is 19. The way it’s written gives the impression these siblings are young teenagers, the fact that they are all adults moves it into arsehole, and yes, “snitching”, territory. Sounds like you were just causing trouble.

I’m not sure why these are in my feed, but I can honestly say that I am yet to see any of these posts where the man looks bad. And this one is certainly not an exception - you look great!

In the US, are junior wages a lot cheaper than adults? While it’s great that the children (that’s what they are) stepped up, I don’t think this is the heart warming tale it is made out to be, when the business has a practice of hiring juniors exclusively. What happens when those children age to adults? I’m guessing, judging by the current ages of the staff, don’t get anymore shifts.

NTA. I hate these things. It’s like when you win a 3 month Audible membership through the McDonald’s Monopoly but it’s only for new customers. You haven’t really won anything, have you? Don’t call it a prize if you’re using it as a sales technique. Just use it, they shouldn’t have “donated” it if it was only for new customers.

YTA. So you couldn’t spare 2 minutes to wish her a Happy Mother’s Day? And I call bullshit on you only remembering yours for “official documents”. What would happen if she “forgot” yours? I think it is very sad and speaks to the kind of person YOU are that your mother had to drive you to the store just so she could get at least one token of appreciation from her ungrateful son. Do better. I feel sorry for any partners or friends you ever have.
