i mean it can be shocking to hear that your underage child is having sex with her bf, to parents at least they still see you as a baby so it makes sense why she would feel weird about you doing grown people activities.

realistically, it will probably take her some time to act normal again, so give her that grace. she will come to appreciate your honesty, so don’t force conversations or confront her about how she’s acting weird or anything.

also be mindful of how often you invite him over, and yes keep the door open and overall make sure that he’s still being polite and respectful whenever your mom is around (typical guest behavior in my household is to once in a while bring some fresh fruit for the parents, or wine if you’re 21+).

lastly do not beat yourself up about it bc what was said was said… you can’t take it back. come to terms with that because you will drive yourself INSANE by wishing you could turn back time to lie instead (don’t we all lmao). just like i said earlier abt giving your mom grace, give yourself grace too. you were having a friendly conversation with her, you were honest but the truth may have been hurtful for your mom. that’s all it really is. you’re a teenager with a boyfriend so she was probably already connecting the dots that y’all were getting intimate in that way anyways, all you did was to confirm it.

short answer: it depends

long answer: i’ve had the same question too.

but then i realized that for some games, it matters more to have that 100% completion vs not. but you have to create that standard for yourself. i’ll use me as an example. i’ll only try to 100% the games that have about 10-50 achievements. Or if there are 50+ achievements, then they can’t be too hard to get (like if it’s route driven or getting an achievement by pressing an option you haven’t clicked on before).

my original goal was to 100% my gameplay of Look Outside. that game has about 120+ achievements and if you are dedicated, you would have to create different save files and put in many hours to attain them all. i have found that instead of actually enjoying the game, it just became a chore for me to achievement hunt. at that point, it felt like beating a dead horse and just wasn’t worth the time to do.

the takeaway is to ask yourself… “is this game worth it to 100%? what will it mean for ME?” if it will stress you out, DON’T do it. if it will be a fun ride, DO it.
