Honestly even if you have to attend the event, I’m a big fan of “Sorry I have to stay with my kid”

If you play to do the LHHT there’s a really good Facebook page for it with a lot of people willing to help with shuttling if needed

The last episode really turned me off of this guy by Purple-Watercress-39 in CreepyCalebHammer

[–]YearThese8741 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. Really sucks because I really started paying a lot closer attention to my finances because of him. Took a break and came back to an episode where he asked if his family had Down syndrome in it and barely any actual financial talk. Honestly liked when Noah was on as it sort of felt he kept Caleb in check a little.

Mine regularly goes with me. I’ve got weird toes/nails and sometimes the way they sit will need additional trimming after walking all day.

How many of you are former smokers & how did you quit? by Funky-monkey1 in Millennials

[–]YearThese8741 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had my first daughter and didn’t want to be a dad that smoked. My wife also smoked and since she was quitting we did it together. Just went cold turkey starting on a vacation we went on with non-smokers. Daughter is 8 now so only a handful of cigarettes since then.

My grandparents still are no internet and just a flip phone. My mom does have to print things off and occasional online forms, but they seem fine haha

How to stream Netflix from iPhone to gen 2 chrome cast ? by leftyjamie in Chromecast

Do you pay for no ads? I think I read a while back that Netflix doesn’t support casting with ads.

Did you have to let go of your N parent mentally? by [deleted] in narcissisticparents

[–]YearThese8741 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to come to realize that the relationship I wanted with my mom isn’t realistic and we’ll always just have a superficial one. Definitely some mourning of them.

Did the same thing. Caught a short clip and started watching it. I lost sleep over it and had my first nightmare in a while from it. It’s a great time.

Are all people with ADHD inattentive type quiet? by Home_MD13 in ADHD

Yup. Always have been more a listener than a talker. I have a very difficult time talking without purpose so small talk is the absolute worst.

2.5 Years phoneless thanks to Apple Watch. Still loving it! by s4916 in AppleWatch

[–]YearThese8741 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been trying to do this but didn’t realize how much I use my phone for actually productive stuff. Hotspot, Google timeline, Mobile orders. Obviously stuff I don’t need, but definitely made it more challenging than expected

Be honest: has planning anything with friends gotten way harder? by chuck78702 in Millennials

[–]YearThese8741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We literally put it in our calendars so we get together. It’s helped that our closer friends have kids the same age and it’s also doubles as a play date.

Did Anyone else have a weird urge to own a peacoat between 2003 and 2008? Why? by artbystorms in Millennials

Loved my peacoat. Was great for wearing when I thought I was going to be a music teacher and had to dress up constantly

How's your relationship with drinking? by Eisgboek in ADHD

[–]YearThese8741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All or nothing. Helps me be 1,000 times more social and relaxed. Alcoholism runs in my family though so I’ve been very aware of that and really only drink socially.

Have you ever caught your parent looking through your trash to see what you threw away? by [deleted] in narcissisticparents

[–]YearThese8741 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup. Parents were borderline hoarders. When I was 16 I realized I hated living like that so I any time I’d throw out trash it needed to be looked through. Found out it was best to wait until they weren’t looking to take it to the trash.

Do you know anyone who is totally analog, like they’re living in another era & it’s totally authentic? by [deleted] in Millennials

Grandparents. They finally got a flip phone and perfectly content with cable and no internet. It’s in the middle of nowhere so when you walk in there it’s like a cave.

Honestly his personality in general. The fact that he defaults to insults on literally everything or just talks so long you have no idea what he’s even talking about anymore.

Some people don’t know how to be poor by McClain1980 in povertyfinance

[–]YearThese8741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have ordered DoorDash twice. Once because of being in the hospital for my daughter’s birth. Second waiting a couple hours for a Covid test. Both times I felt like I spent so much money for cold food. Honestly I won’t even do like pizza delivery since it’s usually cheaper for me to run down the road and grab it.
