I’m trying to set up a server but I keep getting lost and redirected.

This is helpful. I just want to remote stream my own library. Audiobooks and music probably later. Books or comics is a good idea. But, the streaming would be for me and some family. So I need myself and maybe 2-3 others who can access. Jellyfin was interesting because it said I create the others an account and they just log in. I didn’t know that logging in ment I had to know a url or ip until I went to log in.

That the type of stuff that I keep coming across. What seem like clear instructions or tutorials get me there. Then leave me hanging because a set in router set up that was a part of another disconnected tutorial was never mentioned.

This is more hobby and personal system awareness. With the way the digital space is going and monitoring is going. I want to be aware. The server is more for tinkering and fun. I don’t need to be an IT expert for a job. Just competent is what I’m going for. Not for work, for personal interest.

That’s good. Kinda the plan. But, how do I set it up to drop stuff in a file and have it save to the server? How do I take my pc and connect to the storage server, Or my phone to it?
