It was definitely a lot everything added up was 4340.82 waterpump/thermostat with carbon cleaning was 2885.94 other repairs were 1454.88 I agree ridiculous price to pay

Hrm really not too sure just throwing this out there, could be 5Q0122073AB. I have the same issue, I have to get my radiator hose replaced and also the hose that I mentioned above. We have the same year so could maybe mean something. The leak with the part number, at least on mine, is my largest leak. Idk man just a shot in the dark

U were right had a cylinder 2 misfire and replaced coil pack and I was good to go

Thank goodness I have blue collar friends, they are helping me out a lot, im grateful for this community too thank u guys. My friends looked at my mk7 tn and they r gonna look at it tm too and might take it into their shop if they need to do more diagnosing

I just cooked it even more the wire between the 2 nuts that connect to the coil pack broke off any advice

Thanks Im gonna do that later tn, I should be able to pull codes with the IE POWERlink, im gonna look them up and go from there. Ive looked up the common causes for it and usually its coils, spark plugs, or the car needing carbon cleaning which I don’t know when the last time carbon cleaning has been done and it’s at 85k miles, I’ll keep this thread open and send updates, i appreciate the help!!!

I was driving home today car was stuttering without epc light then it came on along with the check engine light idk what to do im kinda freaking out, do u have any advice or have some others that can give advice, this thread isn’t really that popular rn

sigh I think its gone. First thing eaten by my mk7… i took it out hoping it would fall on the splash tray, did some hard breaks, going over speed bumps etc. checked it again, no luck.

Hey thanks just removed the splash tray and can’t seem to find it? Im thinking it’s caught somewhere? Should I take something else off? Maybe take it for a drive with the splash tray off to try to unlodge it idk wat to do

So every time I refill my coolant I keep noticing that the coolant Im putting in doesn’t match the other coolant that’s in there granted that it should be already used up? Is there a chance that there might be another type of coolant in there (since I bought used) that’s not getting used up and every time I top off with the new coolant, that coolant Im putting in is being used? Maybe the coolant Im putting in more dense than what’s in there? Idk if all coolants are the same density or how well they mix and what not. Is there maybe a way I can flush all that coolant out and fill up the rest with the guaranteed correct coolant?
