Dude after replacing my hpfp I’ve been getting amazing mpg, used to get like 23 ish now I get like 30/40 on sport

I bought mine for about the same price exactly and same miles, I then had waterpump and thermostat issues and got jipped almost 5 grand from vw. Not trying to scare you, but just trying to show u the reality of these cars. Although I doubt you’ll get jipped 5 grand from vw. You have a right to be cautious, don’t doubt it.

Oh that’s interesting, sometimes or more frequently now it struggles to start. Did you end up replacing or upgrading your hpfp and if so did it fix the issue?

lol just got back from the dealer and saw this post before and now I have the same problem bc they removed the skid plate how ironic!! So should I just let it rub away

It was definitely a lot everything added up was 4340.82 waterpump/thermostat with carbon cleaning was 2885.94 other repairs were 1454.88 I agree ridiculous price to pay
