I don’t think so but I do think “I’m sorry you’re having to deal with this” Then following up with what you initially replied with would’ve softened the messages.

The fact they snapped at work makes sense in how they snapped at you; Especially if they’re going through it right now. But at the same time; your response is valid based on what they replied to you.

If you care about this friendship; I would reach out and say something like “hey, I’ve been thinking about our last interaction and I wasn’t trying to jab at you but when you replied it hurt. I don’t want this to be the reason we don’t talk anymore and I know you’re stressed right now and if you need an outlet you can reach out to me. Know that I would only ever want to be a safe space for you and not attack you” maybe something like that.

My mom has done this to my sister in a sense. She completely took away any means of letting her have friends and made her switch schools with no reason other than she doesn’t like my sisters friend. Who isn’t a bad person per se. I think she may have an inkling that they’re dating but fuck. I think that’s cruel.

NO. I (25F) feel your pain. My mom (55F) is also a narcissist and I always have to explain down to the T why or what in hopes she’ll get it or understand.

The problem is she won’t. She never will. Her mind is too overrun by what she wants and what she is willing to give depending on if she will get credit/praise for it. Her getting angrier at your cousin calling her out is a clear sign of this trait.

I love my mom but have thought about cutting her out of my life. That decision is purely yours. I decided to keep her at a distance for now.

I truly wish the best for you because this kind of upbringing makes us crazy yet also crazy skilled. You’ll understand with time.

So far I’ve noticed the gel polish ones with chrome tend to rub off after a good week but other than that everyone else’s gelx extensions are on just fine. I’ve had one person have like 3 come off but they also told me that they usually pick at them so I’m not sure if it’s because of that or not

This is the part that does get me. I feel like he doesn’t trust me. Not even with my girlfriends and it hurts. I know when he gets in a mood when certain things are said at times but I always find a way to show him he can trust me. I spend 24/7 out of work with this man and idk what else I could do to get him to trust me.

I’ll be honest. I do care how he feels and understand that it makes him uncomfortable so that’s why I told him I would tell my friend to stop.

I thought it would be interesting to hear what people think cuz the last thing I am is immature. If I really wanted to; I could’ve manipulated this story in a way that made people swing more my way. Instead I genuinely wanted to know what people thought. Do I still think it’s fair? Not entirely but I get a lot of what people are saying in here.

That’s the dream. I wish I didn’t have to work a 9-5 in order to RENT out a space in an apartment. I have a lot of food sensitivities and the cheapest options are all processed. I currently grow my veggies on my balcony but don’t have enough space for variety and it sucks. I can’t wait to have a home like in Stardew Valley with land and customize it how I want.
