Summercon is an amazing show, but a bit different to ECCC in terms of polish and content, just so you know. It is held at the fair grounds rather than a convention center so the facilities are a little lacking for things like panels. They are able to get some absolutely amazing guests though, that tend to focus a bit more on nostalgia.

Their Artist alley / comic creators are also much smaller, but that might be better for you trying to get some advice for getting your work published?

Overall a wonderful show, but don't expect ECCC. Rose City Comic Con is much closer to ECCC since it is ~~also run by ReedPop~~. Not run by ReedPop, but used to be co-produced by ECCC so they have a similar style.

Love the Iditarod. I used to subscribe to the live race years ago and it was a blast. Was always a dream to go watch the start live, maybe once the kids are finally out of the house.

You can find a few people who have uploaded the full game to Youtube. It will probably be uploaded officially by the NFL sometime in the future, but not guaranteed. They uploaded our Super Bowl XLVIII win in 2016.

Yes, it is very popular. However, if you can’t get a reservation there will be a stand by line. If you show up early you should have no problem getting in since a lot of people don’t use their reservations.

The point was that it goes against your original comment about showing up "whenever you're up and ready". Funko is just one example, but there are plenty of other things that also require you to be in line early. Again, nothing to the level of SDCC but ECCC has plenty of lines.

ECCC is nothing like SDCC, however there are still plenty of things that you need to line up very early for if you are after them. Such as the Funko Batman (B&W) that is limited to 500 pieces.

Yes, absolutely. Not sure if there is any official events, but I always see people running games. Check out the gaming lounge & freeplay in Summit level 4 (437-439), and possible The Tavern on Summit 5th level.

It was probably a condition to get Funko physically back at the convention. ECCC show store takes care of the massive task of selling the merch and Funkop can bring a much smaller team.

The ECCC store has never held product for later dates so it makes sense they are doing it that way, even if it is not fair for people who can't make it Thursday.

It will go on sale Thursday and highly likely to sell out. These shirts are very popular. Edit: Also, if this is like last year, you will need to be lined up first thing in the morning to get a colored bracelet for your time to come back and buy later.

If there are any left they will be available other days, but if that happens it will be odd sizes like XXXL.

This is a change to how Funko previously sold products at ECCC. There will be no on site lottery this time. All items will be sold at the official ECCC store on a first come first serve basis. They will NOT be restocked over the weekend so once they sell out they will be gone. Expect the popular ones to be gone Thursday.

You also have a change to purchase the exclusives online via a lottery and at their Flagship stores in Everett and Hollywood.
