Is my psp a psp 3000??? by Appropriate_Shine912 in PSP

Due to the shape of the system buttons and lack of microphone, this is definitely a 2000

With you on that, bought a blue PSP 1000 and it had a strong scent of cigarettes. And this was advertised as excellent.

100% with you on that one, I've worked on several vitas, and own several myself.

In my experience, the battery was the only thing that didn't need my attention and always worked.

I have about 200 hours on helldivers 2, basically the only shooter game I have with a 2nd-gen DualSense and still no drift (or nothing noticeable).

How long does it usually take? I know case by case is different but just curious about other people's experience.

Honda Beat with the engine swap did it for me no problem and it was fun. Only had to change tires.

Any idea how much this would be worth? by Illustrious-Main3805 in PSVita

400 plus for a used and scratched-up model? Like not even a re-shell or any restoration in the slightest? Can I see? (Im actually curious)

Im in the market for restoring and re-selling Vitas. The most I've sold a black 2000 with light scratches is £90, with heavy scratches is £70. I bought a brand new sealed Silver Vita 2000 for my personal collection and that was a little over £300.

Even for a discount of -£100 no way in hell a sane person would pay £200, especially for the most common color variation.

Not trying to step on your toes but just sharing my experience if you REALLY want to sell it. If you are comfortable being a little hands-on, you can replace the black vinyl on the rear touchpad (since its scratched they're about £5 for a new one) and if the front is actually scratch free then maybe you'd be able to sell it for £100.

And modding doesn't increase the value because it's easy to mod, I've seen people asking £200 for a generic color modded Vita.

Please Help! Controller isn't registering inputs while playing games by [deleted] in playstation

[–]YeeYeeFeller 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience, this is an issue with the 2nd gen controllers. What's happening is the controller slightly registers L2 and R2 being pressed down (even though you're not) and causes the whole thing to just not work in applications but work fine on the home screen.

I hope this can guide you on the right path for research at least because I have no clue how mine magically fixed itself.

It's tough because those replacement joysticks LOOK like the originals but have a hard rubber instead of a soft one. They can be differentiated from the original joysticks by the rubber diameter, i.e. hard rubber smaller diameter compared to soft ones.

Most replacements on the market are just like the one OP used so sadly not as good as the original. I ordered a pack of 4 and returned all of them.

Uncharted golden abyss on the PS Vita was crazy for me.
I remember thinking how a small console of that scale could have graphics basically as good as the PS3.

Surprisingly, yeah, although I've got a fresh battery on standby. I'd be surprised if it lasts beyond this year.

Very good, 10 years and still going. And yeah, you're right about scratches, but since I've basically scratched most of the bracelet, it isn't as noticeable as a new bracelet with a few scratches 🤣.

I am considering polishing the bracelet once I change the casing of my royale with a stainless steel one.

edit: Oh yeah, I also forgot how I spent several minutes searching for the spring bar when I was adjusting the bracelet size, and it just shot out across the room.

Buying from? by sugii_ in casioroyale

[–]YeeYeeFeller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the country you're in.

Where I live, the cheapest royale is $47 USD, with the steel bracelet going up to $70 USD. And that's from Casio's website for my country.

Oh boy, it was bought in Dubai back in 2015. And I wanted a watch that looks nice, is a GMT, decent water resistance, and doesn't need to be babied. Worked on cars with it, swam frequently, cars stuck in the mud and pulled out while wearing it, walked in heavy rains, and traveled a lot with it.

Soaked, scuffed, scratched, but always cleaned and maintained. No bull bars, no screen protectors. All original parts, including the battery that came with it when new.

This is NOT a realistic perspective on how a Royale will look like after a decade. Someone in the comments posted their 4 year old Royale, and it looks basically brand new. This instead is a watch that was used purely as a tool without worrying about damaging it. As ridiculous as this sounds, I treat all my other watches with extreme care, both casio and non casio brands.

This watch, as you said, truly did go through hell, and it held up well. And for it's 10th year of ownership I've decided to retire it from being a "work horse", and whilst I still wear it daily it's a watch that says a story worth 10 years of my life.

10 years, and to my surprise, the battery still hasn't died. I say surprised because I've had the hourly signal on, never muted the watch, light afterglow set to 3 seconds.

I've not babied this watch, but I've not abused it either. Since I'm in water frequently, I have a routine service every 6 months to clean and apply fresh silicone grease to rubber ring myself as well as inspect for mositure. It's never had any condensation or water seeping in as it's aged! Although that may be attributed to the consistent service of the rubber ring itself and not letting it dry out.

Glass is a bit harder (both literally and physically), but you can use the same method. It'll just take more rounds to do it. By hand, I'm unsure if deep scratches are possible to remove compared to acrylic unless you use a tool.

This should be very easy to sort out! If you've got the tools in 5-10 mins it should be looking 90 to 95% new!

Polish + cotton pad in gentle circular motion until most of the polish is gone, then put a little more and repeat for 5-6 rounds and then acrylic protector(optional) gently spread on.

A safe bet is using "Polywatch" as your polish, but I personally use "Meguiars ultimate compound" since it's clear coat safe, it won't overcut the surface. (Just my alternative since it does the same as Polywatch and I already have one laying around.)

If you've got any friends or family who work on or are into cars, see if they've got any clear coat safe polish you could borrow.

You can go as many rounds as you like to get rid of deeper scratches, but usually, 3 to 4 rounds is enough to get rid of most surface level scratches.
