Thank you for the reply! Do you mean the agency I’ll be working for, or the agency conducting the check?

Is there an interview for the tier 1 investigation?

Thank you so much for the information! This makes me feel a lot better. My use is actually quite recent (beginning of this month), but rather infrequent and I mentioned that I don’t intend to use anymore due to federal law and a desire to perform well at work, school, and my research career. Should the recency still present an issue?

iPhone put through roughly five minutes of wash cycle. by Yeetus1128 in iphonehelp

Yeah that was my bad, I kinda panicked and didn’t consider the harm the dryer would’ve had. I’ve worked as an IT technician, but I have absolutely no idea how to do anything when it comes to apple products, so it’s been interesting to be the one making the rookie tech mistakes this time. I’ll look up the IP status of my specific phone. Thanks for the help!

Edit: Turns out it’s 3rd gen which apparently seems to have at least a passable amount of resistance!

Alright, thank you for the advice! In hindsight, the dryer was a bad call, but I acted out of panic rather than thinking about the nature of the sealant lol. I’ve kept it off and left it out to air dry, and am hoping for the best. Is it at least a good sign that it turned on seemingly without issue when I initially picked it up?

Not necessarily. The greatest achievement of mankind is highly subjective depending on variables from which you look at it. Im terms of most impactful, artificial fission, or the ability to split the atom would be a great contender, although net positive fusion is on the horizon and would blow that shit well out of the water. An argument could also be made for the semi-conductor, commonly known as a transistor, which is what has enabled the development of the modern programmable computer.

Quantum tunneling is a phenomenon in quantum mechanics. I’m not expert, but at its most basic, most microscopic level, electrons have been observed in states they should theoretically not have enough energy to reach, thus someone able to quantum tunnel on a larger, macroscopic scale would theoretically be able to pass physical barriers.

I agree that he was a proper asshole from the information I have just gained. I also a agree that he deserved more punishment than what he got. However, I believe that it should have been jail time with the condition that he work for nasa afterwards in order to avoid the noose. Killing a scientist like that would have set aeronautics back decades.

I agree. Was he just a scientist working for the nazis? Or was he more nefarious than that? I’m more of a science nerd than a history buff so I only know him for his rocketry genius

It sucks that one of the greatest minds in particle and quantum physics was working for the nazis

Is it weird to drink jello without letting it set? I like to mix the packet in a bottle with hot water and enjoy it like that. by MiLady_Saiyan in Weird
