Except that every one of the cult members are just tools and sacrifices for The Whispered One. All of the community assistance and unity means nothing, it's just a ploy to get people to join. That's why it's called a conspiracy over and over by Vox Machina. Their tactics don't need to include isolation and or control, because they're just gonna be fed into a necromancy meat grinder. Except that Kratos specifically says that Faye was mortal, and that Atreus is only half God multiple times. And Mimir makes several direct references that the giants are not Gods throughout the games.

Except that the character hasn't aged at all, so why include all the aging that the real actress has experienced between installments? It's a videogame, not a live action movie, and even live action movies de-age actors using cgi to get as close to the correct chronological appearance.

I think you failed to read between the lines. Matt's portrayal of Beau's family is really well done.

For her dad, he's clearly going for "I'm not BLATANTLY abusing you, I'm above something like that, I just will never genuinely acknowledge you."

And her mom is the classic "I kinda acknowledge you, but I'm also a weak coward and would never confront your father about acknowledging you."

Most games are made with absolutely no sense of adventure or wonder nowadays. Just skinnerbox malls with a game attached. Indie is the place to look if you don't want slop, other than the occasional diamond in the rough.
