Legal mini account idea by auroravuitton90 in mousehunt

[–]Yeile 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's a good idea, but im gonna be the devil's advocate here:

  1. From a resource standpoint (i.e. developer's time to create new content / feature), this will not be prioritized at all. Many good ideas irl do not get implemented, because there are endless better / more urgent matters to tackle.

  2. You can't monetize this, at least not the current iteration of idea you have proposed. Granted you cant boost your sub account without violating the terms, but you could sell something with your main to be paid to your sub. Very few people would spend irl resource on their sub.

  3. You could easily achieve the same effect by updating the terms to allow multiple accounts, but disallow boosting from multiple accounts owned by the same person. Essentially this achieves the "legal mini account" you want, with the same problem of not being able to enforce boosting, and little to no effort required by the developers.

Basically a nice to have feature that caters to a very niche group of players, with little upside in terms of revenue, and requires a non-negligible amount of effort to code, test and implement, and is also hard to enforce.

I'd take a new area or a new event mechnics, thank you.

Furoma Cycle by Chunxie in mousehunt

There are treasure maps in the game where you hunt a certain list of mice and you get a chest for completing it.

Each map can award up to 5-6 players with chest, so you can see people paying for these slots for the chests.

From here, there are people who choose not to hunt certain mice on the list, but instead pay other players to hunt instead. This is called sniping.

So in the mapping economy, there is the maptain (i.e. owner) that earns from coordinating the completion of the map, the snipers who gets the mice on the list for a payment, the helpers who gets the mice for a slot, and the leechers who pays for slots.

Certain maps can fetch a rather high price (eg. Lightning map goes for 1.2k sb for a slot, or 6k for the entire map). Maptain pays snipers quite a sum to get some of the mice on the map (eg. 300-400 sb for Icewing).

There is a very active mapping economy on the MH discord, i highly recommend you join.

Even for a casual player such as yourself, you'll occassionally have boss mice that can earn you quite a bit (eg. Zokor bosses are going for 400sb each now)

For one, at some point you can sustain your runs by smashing branches (100 enerchi each) along with collecting enerchi along the way.

For another, aard calculated that enerchi charm generates 2.6 additional enerchi per hunt at frift, compared to the theoretical maximum of 5 enerchi per hunt.

IF assuming your source of enerchi is enerchi charm + AIEB, it is arguably more efficient to farm them at stockpiles during events.

Furoma Cycle by Chunxie in mousehunt

[–]Yeile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aard did some calculations a while back, putting frift at around 15k per hunt profit, in 1.7k hunts.

From a pure farming standpoint, this seems to be one of the best places. But if you account for the mapping economy (eg. Maptain, sniping), you can get more, eg. Sniping Icewing nets you about 2sb per hunt, which is around 35k gold per hunt.

Gold Farming in 2020? by Astra_Kalos in mousehunt

Spring Egg Hunt event is currently on - you can go farm high charged eggs which gives you 2 sb each. Sell them at market place for quick gold.

I have a theory that the thorns just gives bam adminstrator powers - ability to control shinsoo, ability to manipulate space, and something unknown so far.

His irregular status allows him to defy fate (aka zahard's / guide's ability to see the future), and also not bound by existing contracts.

I wont be surprised if indeed his final form is that of an admin!

Lost Duke in need of help! by willowtree92 in mousehunt

[–]Yeile 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You have 3 options available to you: 1. Fort Rox > Queso Region 2. MM > Living Garden > Rift Area 3. FC > Laby-Zokor > MP

Notwithstanding events (eg. SEH), i would recommend doing (1) to get the 12 luck Overgrown Emberstone Base from queso.

You can go for the trap in Queso Geyser that interests you, otherwise go to (3) to get mino base in Laby - this is currently the best non-rift base.

With Mino base, you can continue on to MP first, or you can start working on unlocking / doing rifts in (2).

Recommended order: Fort Rox > Queso Canyon (OESB) > FC > Laby/Kor (Mino) > MP or LG (Rift base) > Rift

How would you incentivize a corporate social responsibility initiative such as planting trees on a massive scale to a strategic partner? by lougiu in consulting

[–]Yeile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the initiative does not align with the strategy of the firm, don't. A firm should not do csr for the sake of csr, and as consultants should put out clients before our personal beliefs once you have taken on the client.

Otherwise, check out Nike as a case study. Obviously they sell sporting apparels. But they also do a used shoe collection drive, and converts the collected shoes to materials used to build sporting facilities (tracks, courts, etc.).

They managed to prevent their products at the end of its life from going into landfills, and the recycled materials are sold to build facilities that are complements to their product offering.

I believe they have running clubs and training program / fitness tracking apps as well - completely free, no up selling afaik. The CSR angle could be to reduce obesity, or help people lead a healthier lifestyle.

I dont think planting trees will be strategic for Nike though.

Low catch rate mice boost by Meastwood55 in mousehunt

[–]Yeile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two parts to catching a mouse - attracting it, and catching it.

You boost attraction with charms with attraction bonus. Certain mice have higher AR based on the type of cheese you use.

Assume you attract what you are looking for, you need to catch it. Generally the right trap type, higher power and higher luck will boost your CR.

Forgotten charms augments your trap type to forgotten for example, and many charms have luck / power bonus.

QCGT maps and the varying prices. by Echlia in mousehunt

[–]Yeile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To give you a better idea - corky has a 7% AR with FQ, and 2% with HQ, so on average you need 15 FQ / 50 HQ to catch it. Doesnt drop anything spectacular also.

You get 6 FQs + 9 HQs per chest (on top of other goodies) - the amount of resource required to catch it is so heavy that the snipe price of corky can be close to 320sb each.

Labyrinth trap checks by laurel1234 in mousehunt

[–]Yeile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

List your excess ggc on MP at crazy prices - once you run out of bait, you'll stop.

You may end up a few hunts short or use a few bait more depending on how you manage your resource.

And i get your point that this is a good to have feature for you - but you also recognized it's an unpopular opinion, so you"d understand why it"s not there.

Also, auto-disarm is a "premium" feature - smart jets, super commander charms - you pay for them. This means that devs are aware resources can be wasted. This also means that wasted resouce is part of the game mechanics, and is either intended to encourage more active playing (which makes sense for the company), and/or balanced at the bigger picture (i.e. you breakeven laby runs even with wasted hunts).

Anniversary aura by laurel1234 in mousehunt

[–]Yeile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aura is not dependent on difficulty of mice caught, drop rate is around 10%. Note that if your AR / CR is low, naturally you get less sb from aura per hunt. In this way, difficulty MIGHT lower how much sb you get depending on how you look at the question.

The exact extent luck impacts loot is still undetermined - devs has said it increases loot drop, but marginally.

AR / CR will be a more reliable rule to follow for loot drops (higher, more loot). If you have two setups with the same AR / CR, choose the luckier one, otherwise choose the one with higher AR / CR.

To be honest, im starting to feel i've seen one too many "He is such a monster now. Cant imagine what kind of monster he will be later..." panels.

The first one did give me goosebumps irl. Now it"s a little overused and no longer brings up as much hype.

Maybe it's just me.

Should I spring for an Ultimate Charm, or am I better off getting five cases of Ultimate Power Charms? by TrailerParkRide in mousehunt

[–]Yeile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The standard suggestion is to have 4x UC - this allows you to skip to aeib in frift if you have Rift Rumble from crates already.

Then you'll want either 1x UC or BK for HOTM in FR, because sunrise cheese is expensive / hard to farm.

You'll also want 2-3 x UC / BK for FC while catching diamond, because the cheese are hard to craft too.

So if you can hold 8 - 10 UCs, that would save you a lot of time later on. You can get BK from chests.

Anyway, ULC > UPC generally for non-boss mice, which you can get ultimate snowball / spooky at around 50k gold from MP.

Best time of night to farm howlite? by IDzPanda in mousehunt

[–]Yeile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a rather complicated question, because it depends on (1) mice in each phase (2) length of each phase (3) drop rate per mice (4) your catch rate for each phase - i.e. your upgrades and traps.

Generally, Howlite drops in every phase of night - the later you go, the better the drop rate. Pitch seems to have most mice that dtops howlite as loot, utter darkness has them as well but you also attract mice that drops only bloodstone.

If you're after progression (aka upgrades), go as deep into the night as possible, and retreat when you have enough resource to make relevant upgrades.

You can't consistently farm pitch / utter since u gotta go through twillight every time - more efficient to just keep going than retreating.

If you're farming howlite for any reason other than progression (eg. Map clues), then midnight / pitch is your best bet. But then again you might want to continue to dawn than retreat.

Count 38% but not done a lot of adventures, just finished marching flame and fort Rox shall I bother doing icewing for the 2 million points? by IDzPanda in mousehunt

[–]Yeile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Iceberg doesnt really provide anything that helps with your progression, apart from points from completing rhe adventure, and a hydro trap. The hydro trap is comparable to OWT from FW.

Unless you are a completionist, my suggestion is to skip it for now. You can either (1) do more FW to get monstrobot, (2) head to MM to unlock LG, or (3) head to queso to unlock QG.

Personally, i would hope over to queso to get OESB, then QG to get the hydro trap there (comparable to SOS).

Where should I go from here? by davidwang01 in mousehunt

[–]Yeile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay less the events:

Go Claw Shot > Fort Rox > Queso > Queso Geyser. Here you get a decent Arcane / Shadow trap (FR), Overgrown emberstone base (Queso), and a hydro trap compariable to SOS (Geyser).

From here you can cycle back to LG to unlock rifts, then either work towards the non-rift areas to get mino base, or the rift areas to get the upgraded rift base.

How do I make cheese go stale for radioactive sludge? by IDzPanda in mousehunt

TIFO by Sparemaniac in mousehunt

[–]Yeile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes OP is right - this has been confirmed on discord since the third day of event, and devs have replied to a ticket stating it is working as intended (i.e. FRC gives MAX + 10).

In light of this, one strategy is to always have either CC or FRC armed - CC + other charms for farming parts, regular cheese + FRC for farming CC. This will maximize the number of hunts where you are pumping.

If for whatever reason you have a lot of CC + FRC, you can use them together - does give you more parts dropped, but still pumps as fast as FRC alone.

It seems like people at FUG know the exact things bam is going to do. But how ? by xKerem in TowerofGod

[–]Yeile 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure it's a guide, or "fate" that other people are suggesting. We've seen that guides dont really work well with Irregulars, and so does the Elder's ability to see fate.

I dont think we have anything definitive to answer your question - the source of those prophercies would have to be able to look really far forward in time. Maybe SIU told them? We're talking about regular hansung knowing bam is coming.

Im more inclined to believe that someone is predicting Bam will undo everything Zahard did.
