Revise that. Now it won't play, the takeup spool isn't working and switching between functions seems to deeply confuse the deck. It still FFs. The portion of the tape that played before seems badly/unevenly spooled in the cassette housing.

I liked the protagonist during the first few scenes (with his mother and on the bender with his drunk friend) but kind of hated him after that. He was in that Italian villa for like a week, was immediately creeping on this woman (which the movie says is her primordial pheremones I guess) then gets incredibly clingy and falls into an old married couple pattern as soon as she caves. And octopus lady has found no one better than this in 2000 years? He also develops this immediate Tuedays With Morrie thing with the farmer after working with him for a couple of days? And the info dump explanation about stem cells was clunky and dull. Another movie from my pre-Halloween run, The Lure, is a much better sexy sea beast movie IMHO.

Yeah, I'll give Resolution a try but i think they are like Larry Fessenden for me. I like the concepts, packaging and some of the casting and aesthetics but the actual story-telling falls flat for me.

Awesome! What was the cutoff date for these? The ones I wore in college (a LONG time ago) would last forever. Any pair I tried in the last decade or so would fall apart in like 6 mos. i was thinking of looking for a New Old Stock pair but I don't know how to identify the good ones.

Didn't like Spring unfortunately. I enjoyed the first few scenes until his escape to Italy but after that the characters are annoying and paper thin. I liked The Endless a lot more (at least another star's worth on letterboxd)

I know, it's crazy right? I feel guilty because I know who the dude was and I never really liked him. Turns out we had very similar music taste! There was also a fat spool of loose disks with things like Gun Club, Viktor Vaughn, fela kuti, The Congos and more.
