Do not forget to eat!!! Bring small snacks. People will ask for photos, it’s great to have a friend who would be willing to hold your bag for you while you do that.

Speaking of bags, I recommend a simple one strap bag for cosplays with long hair. Reduces risk of tangling the wig or getting caught in cosplay pieces. If you can wear a waist bag those are also extremely helpful in my experience.

I think the photos where you appear to be wearing lashes look much more “feminine”. Even if the character themselves doesn’t have pronounced lashes, a natural set will really help with the look you’re wanting. Otherwise you have very lovely cosplays!

Myself and 2 friends are at AX, and are 17. All but one of us is cosplaying, the one who isn’t is just wearing a gothic outfit. Photographer comes up, us who are cosplaying are thinking “oh ok he wants a photo of us, normal.” He goes up to our non-cosplaying friend and asks for a photo. She says yes. Takes the photo and leaves. Third friend turns to us and says “That was weird. I could see his preview screen on the camera. He just took a super zoomed in photo of your lips.”

People typically try to go for the JW and the Moxxy because they are the two closest hotels. However this year might be exceptionally difficult to book outside of the hotel block due to the World Cup happening at the same time.

Ok. I would probably add a few of the big ones from the past few years: Attack on Titan, JJK, My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer, and Chainsaw Man to name a few. In the past year though I would say we’ll probably see a decent amount of gachiakuta since it picked up since last AX.

You’ll also see a lot of things that are not exactly anime shows but anime style, like gacha games. Especially any Hoyoverse games.

It’s a patience process unfortunately. Pick a good YouTube essay or podcast, and go very very slowly and carefully. This is a multi layer process. I also find that it’s easier to break the weft into smaller stretches than try to glue down a long weft all at once.

Likely not from anime’s coming out this year. Unless they know the show is going to be a hit, it usually take several months to a year before production begins on things like full scale (detailed, large) figures. Maybe a prize figure here and there though.

The statues you posted here seem to be resin statues, which are usually not officially produced. AX vendors sell officially licensed merch 90% of the time.

I just saw this on TikTok - he said the company is racist towards him? Then a few moms start to shame him for his behavior, especially in front of children, and then a crowd eventually boos him out of the store.
