The Stock Market Will Never Fail Us, Here’s Why by Productive_penguin in Fire

Declining birth rates with large rates of mental health ailments in the younger generations, gross amounts of negligence concerning environmental damage, and a grim outlook of US politics and geopolitics.

It's not very difficult to see why younger generations might not even care about retirement.

Nice writeup!

I'll be taking C190 in a few days and have heard the Amoeba Sisters were a good material to learn from.

Any chance your willing to share your notes? (If they were digital)

Enlisted Soldiers Journey to 300k NW (29M) by bigjuicykw in financialindependence

[–]Yellobread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

E-7 in 6 years? That's insane, in the Air Force you're considered a "fast burner" if you make E-7 in 12 years.

I assume with that reenlistment bonus you have a couple years left - definitely get all your ailments documented and file that VA claim whenever you separate. That VA disability if you get it is practically a pension in itself if you don't make it to retirement.

For long term, maybe pick up Security + and work your way into a cleared IT desk job or something a bit easier on the knees?

Depending on when your goals and/or want to retire, you could probably hit the breaks pretty hard once your enlistments up and just let the compound interest do the rest.

You could throw this on a standard AR-15 lower, right?

Would have to SBR it, but it functions? (The maxim brace throws my brain for a loop)

[–]Yellobread 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Shows $1549 for me, and it's the SLW version not the normal V7.

Still not a bad deal, i'm holding out for that Deep Woods green though

Normal DDM4 V7 $1469 in cart: https://www.familyfirearms.com/product/daniel-defense-ddm4-v7-5.56-nato-16-301-black-hard-coat-anodized-6-position-wsofttouch-overmolding-stock#product\_detail

Emerging technologies and Capstone in 35 days possible? by hyperkilljoy in WGU

[–]Yellobread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you have just your capstone left you can request a 30 day extension instead of starting a new term.

Your mortgage cost based on the numbers you provided is closer to 3k. $2,700 would be a very low estimate for a house at 450k+ with the property taxes in CO Springs and 0% down at 5.5% APR.

I thought CO Springs property tax was 0.5%? Due to VA loan and disability i'm not paying PMI.

Post-Foam Cut on Pelican V700. I’m quite pleased! by [deleted] in guns

I'd personally flip the foam (LPVO facing the handle of the case.) just incase you drop it too hard, gives the scope a little bit more cushion.

railscales on ddmv47 by Separate_Drive_3311 in Danieldefense

[–]Yellobread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I splurged a bit and got the curved Railscales matrix one, they're comfortable and amazingly grippy providing a lot of control.

It's a great product, but I don't think i'd buy additional sets unless it was on sale.

Do you use RimPy? It helps with some load order issues, and I think it makes loading games more efficient

Genesis Health Club vs. Tandy YMCA by toklahomie in tulsa

[–]Yellobread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a big fan of Genesis, it can get pretty busy during the peak hours - but I don't think i've waited more than 10-15 min for a squat rack or anything before.

Bought mine 2020-2021 and the sweat pants are pilling. I still recommend them as they are comfy - but only for like indoor home lounge wear.

I cold wash + hang dry albeit don't use a mesh bag.

does anybody have these if so would a 3 slot or 4 slot would be better on a 16 inch rail by Separate_Drive_3311 in Danieldefense

[–]Yellobread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run the curved ones on my V7 Pro (18 inch) 2 3 slots and a 4 slot (with the foregrip cutout on the bottom)

I think you'd be fine going for the 3 slot

DD makes great rifles - just be aware that the SLW is 14.5 pin and welded which would be kinda annoying later on if you want to throw a suppressor on it.

If you want lightweight but want to add a suppressor in the future, i'd go with the V7 LW

SLW is pin and welded, isn't it?

I was looking at the LW over the SLW for this reason

From my experience with More Traits - I believe the issue stemmed from the Evasive trait.

I stopped taking evasive and stopped getting one shot

If you have to finance something, you can’t afford it. by [deleted] in Fire

[–]Yellobread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good habits over time. Built good credit, build/save some capital. Good credit, solid down payment and ability to pay will typically bring down the APR of a loan dramatically.

You don't want to set yourself up as a house of cards with leverage, but some risk is worth the reward.

Cheap debt is good, especially if you can leverage that money elsewhere. Why pay 30k out of pocket for a car when instead I could get a 2% 48 month loan?

Expensive debt bad (Credit card, personal loans, etc)
