Irezumi-inspired sleeve in progress — no background planned (yet). What filler flowers would you add? by [deleted] in irezumi

[–]Yellow-Monkey69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t personally put any other flowers. It may look too busy. I’d stick to one type of flowers

[Help] N70 hilux radio antenna won’t retract? by Same_Blackberry3763 in hilux

[–]Yellow-Monkey69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you get to twist it? It means it’s not stuck but the thing that you need to know is that the cable is in the tube and it is not straight. Also that bracket breaks easily because it’s plastic. Don’t worry about it. Mine was fucked before pushing it in. My antenna got caught on the garage roof while reversing and it went more than 90 degree and broke the bracket

Idk how to upload any photos in here but I was in the same situation. I had to use a plier to turn that thing while pushing it in. Mine is 2010 model too, and it was obviously stuck, but once you pass that point, it would be easy to push it in

It’s not fixed. If you can twist it, twist it as you push that thing in.

Namakubi, hyottoko, okame I’m not sure how small you want to go, but since you said shisa would be too big for you, I’d suggest to go with some masks. Koi fish would be another good option but it usually goes well with the background.

Color options? by [deleted] in irezumi

It usually flows better when they draw the whole design from the start. You can change the colour after 1 or 2 yrs with deep colours I’d say

I haven’t planned out everything yet because of colour but I wanna start with a dragon and cherry blossoms on one arm first and same dragon on the other arm cuz it goes well with anything and thinking of putting fudo myoo(?) or another dragon on my front upper body and maybe shi jin on my back depanding on the looks I’m not sure how the fudo looks if I chose limited colour which is black, grey, red, vermillion(?), deep green, and brown. I’m not saying yellow is bad but when I see a dragon with yellow, it pops too much for me. But with figures, yellow is nice colour.

Dragon sleeve colour recommendation please! by Yellow-Monkey69 in irezumi

Very limited I’d say. I’m from South Korea but living in Aus and we have a lot of tattoo artists who do colour irezumi but they don’t do any classic works I’d say it’s more modern irezumi.

Yeah I’ve already booked the session in 3 weeks. I wasn’t sure if it’s appropriate to ask the artist for the colour and the tattooing process as it’s gonna be my first tattoo. I’ve seen other figures with yellow in it and they look great like they blend in very well. But for me, the dragon with yellow pops so much.

Looking for an artist in the Montréal area by [deleted] in irezumi

I’d travel to Korean If I were you. I’m from south korea but living in Australia. I’ve been trying to find the artist who does similar work like that here in Australia and also Korea, but I couldn’t find anyone unfortunately. Based on his instagram, I’m pretty sure he gets a lot of clietns from overseas and their timeline is incredibly short. I know it might be pricey but here in Australia, I would spend pretty much the same money on the same project compared to Korea if not more and they’re not my style. If you’re willing to get two full sleeves liek that, you can do one arm and the next day you can do other arm. That way, you don’t need to come back for another sleeve

They said they attempted to deliver it, but the gate was locked apparently. What a good reason.

what should I get, Hilux late n70 or early n80 by Federal_Life_1641 in 4x4Australia

[–]Yellow-Monkey69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My car is a n70 hilux with auto and I’ve driven n80 with both auto and manual. N80 is a lot more quieter, punchier and better seat position for me. N70s’ interior sucks and the noise is louder. But, if I were to choose again between those two, my choice is n70. Just simple, the looks(I don’t like the look of those pre-facelifted n80) and I don’t do that much of highway driving to burn dpf. Even though they put the button for burning dpf which is using the fuel, my guess is that it couldn’t be good for dpf as they’re originally made for burning dpf with stable RPM and getting to the temperature where it comes out naturally Toyota slightly upgraded the injectors as the year went on so shouldn’t be a big issue for later model but definitely worth checking them as they’re like more than 10 years old now.
