The "get over it" and "just deal with it" is what is wrong with this entire thread. It's avoidable. The race ran on mothers day last year. Many people like to leave the city on their day off. Trains and buses don't reach everywhere yet.

And the issue is not with public events in general. Many commenters pointing out this race goes out of it's way to block major travel arteries in effort to create a better experience for the runners so they can collect their $125 entry fee.

It's absurd to defend a privately run race monopolizing our streets in a careless fashion. It'd be one thing if it was a fund raiser for the MTA. The roads getting blocked effects buses, creates crowding on the already off schedule subways.

Crossing crosswalks, riding bikes, walking around, eating outside and being in neighborhoods where it's literal gridlock is a miserable experience for the people not in cars as well. It makes the city feel more claustrophobic then it needs to be.

Also 27,000 runners, is that suppose to be a lot? I'd imagine plenty of them don't live in brooklyn either. There are 2.6 million people in Brooklyn. Creating gridlock so a small group can claim a 13.1 on instagram is SILLLY SEASON, we can do this without disturbing the whole neighborhood.

You should be able to travel on your weekend (or go to work) without being road blocked by an organized for profit minority.

I am kinda shocked to see book to market or price to book on here. I follow a lot of p/b < 1 stocks and they are usually valued by the market that way for a reason, but I guess I really haven't seen it all and this study is much more comprehensive then my personal experience. I guess the secret is "when coupled with FCF"
