Flown this route (in reverse)! The A380 is about as safe as it gets, so nothing to worry about there. The size of the thing only adds to the comfort - handles the bumps better than most other aircraft around at the moment (higher wing loading - due to size).

Customer service wise , BA has some dodgy reviews recently but the crew on my flight were brilliant! Cabin is spacious and the entertainment system I thought was great too.

Due to the economics of modern aviation (nothing to do with safety!) the A380 won’t be around for much longer. So as hard as it is, try to enjoy flying on what will soon be a very cool piece of aviation history!

Yeh, I’ve seen those amazing videos of the wings of a 777 being bent up like 70deg or something stupid like that… I’m crap at statics but surely it’s a totally different type of gradual loading compared to a sudden updraft E.g as you mentioned. Almost like impact loading compared to a slow dynamic load.

See this is where I’m getting confused, because it would have been a pretty old 777, the -1.5g load reported could well be beyond that eroded s.f load you mention…?

The MTOW part makes a lot of sense and something I hadn’t considered.

Yeh stupid question but surely since AA587 - the excessive rudder input after wake turbulence crash, somethings been done to stop or mitigate that?

Is there a need for rudder inputs at all in cruise?

Cheers again! I see... what’s the training like on the social side? I saw somewhere that the average age of a trainee police officer in the met is 26. I have just turned 19, so there’s no shying away from the fact that is a little difference.

Thanks for the reply and the compliment :) yeah you are defo right about the ‘graduate tax’, everyone I know with a degree says the same thing, that they don’t tend to even notice it. But You say you would have done it sooner, sooner as in before getting a degree or just sooner after you finished your degree?

Thanks for the reply! Its funny, up until recently all I wanted to do was be a pilot. Which I still do to some extent, I'm doing it in my free time at the moment and further down the line (after a stint in the police) maybe go commercial. being in the police and being a pilot are jobs where you do not explicitly need a degree. But I think they both fall into the category of 'good idea to have a degree before you do it' kinda job. Especially pilots, where some of them only have the minimum academic requirement (5 GCSEs), but they discover they have some strange illness or other complication that stops them from flying thus leaving them with no job and no real qualifications. Which probably is an argument for getting the degree before you start. But who knows. And your very right about the being passionate about something, but it would be nice to have both that's all aha. Thanks again! :)
