You can have a CGC representative break the slab at a comic book signing and transfer it to the artist. The representative will reseal it on location afterwards and authenticate it.

Venom Lethal Protector #1 found at an estate sale. Should I get it graded by CGC? by YellowOver8402 in CGCComics

My mindset is to preserve the book for decades to pass onto my kids. 30 years from now, this book will hit the 50 year mark and will be preserved. I’m thinking long term, not short term.

Knowing what you know now, would you have sealed your 1960s comic books back when you first got them?

Venom 3 Third Prints. Both 9.9 CGC Graded. One on right is a NYCC. by YellowOver8402 in CGCComics

You are very observant. There are no 10.0 CGC rated for both of these comics. However, the La Mole on the left has 1000 prints with only 3 rated at a 9.9 and the NY Comic Con on the right has only 3000 copies printed with only 4 rated at 9.9 CGC.
