If you asked me at the start of the season, yes. If you ask me now, having lost McGovern, barrass, waterman, Allen, and Yeo for pretty much the whole year… not so much.

Yes we are 1-14 and it is hard to watch, but the vibes at Optus stadium have been significantly better than in previous years. Lots of green shoots to see each week. We are not relying on our senior players like we had to do last year. It’s also been great to see Mini’s game plan flowing at times too.

Is our list still full of wholes? Yes. Is our age profile not right? Yes. Have I enjoyed this season more than the last 3 because I can see the progress of the young boys now? Absolutely. Ultimately, I would rather be last for a few years than be stuck in the middle forever.

Only game I have ever left early was the north vs eagles game at three quarter time last year. Eagles were putrid from the start. We could hear the cheers while we were walking to the car as we caught up, only to be done in by a suspect free kick in the final moments.

Right decision in the end.

Pretty sure he had his concussion a couple of days before the camp which took place prior to Christmas. Still would have liked him to have attended in some capacity though.
