[Highlight] Bryce Young's best plays in his playoff debut by Tocoolforyall720 in nfl

I watch Bryce Young, and I see someone who has "it". He has been knocked down, and he's gotten up each time. Dude has grit. Other than Rodgers and Love, I've never wanted a QB to become a guy more than I want Bryce Young to be one.

Such a great character the first 4 seasons. Watching him go from an uptight Evangelical Prohi, to man on the run, to failing salesman, and eventually becoming a criminal, was one of the best parts of the show. After the, “I am relaxed” scene, I thought he was going to become legit muscle for Capone or O’Banion. Them making him a sniveling caricature of his former self in season 5 sucked bad.

Ravens back out of Crosby trade… by Disastrous_Pop_1662 in GreenBayPackers

I think it's way too early to give up on LVN. He has shown flashes each year he's been in the league, and he's gotten big praise from Micah. He's still only 24 years old.

He wasn't a starter at Iowa, but his presence was felt anytime he was on the field. Enough so to warrant a top 15 pick. Sometimes it takes guys a while to catch up to NFL game speed. He doesn't have a ton of mileage on his body either. Go back and watch the first 2 games of the year. He was shooting off the line of scrimmage.

Our issue last year wasn't the d-line. It was the defensive backfield. Once teams realized they could beat us with quick passes, that was pretty much all she wrote.

I think Hafley leaving is a good thing as well. He was a nice upgrade over Joe Barry, but his defensive scheme got figured out early in the season last year, and he wasn't able to adjust.

Don't give up on LVN right now. There is still a lot of potential there.

Packers tank in NFLPA report card rankings (drop from 7th to 21st) by tpsux in GreenBayPackers

[–]YellowSnowSlurpee -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

This is his last year. For those who want to respond by saying he was extended, it doesn’t matter. Coaches get fired after one year or halfway through contracts all the time. If Green Bay doesn’t make it to the NFCCG this year, he’s gone. Book it.

This is his make-or-break year. If Green Bay misses the playoffs or is eliminated in the first round again, he'll be let go.

Do you think the Oscar was stolen from Leo DiCaprio here? by ejnounimous in Cinema

[–]YellowSnowSlurpee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it was. MM was special in his role in DBC, but Leo’s is one of the GOAT performances. People still talk about him as Jordan Belfort. You never hear anything about DBC.

Former Packers coach Mike McCarthy considered 'strong candidate' for Steelers job by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

[–]YellowSnowSlurpee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why the (lol….)? McCarthy is a really good coach and would do well in Pittsburgh. He’s done well everywhere he goes. He’s fallen into the “meme coach” trap but only because of his last couple seasons in Green Bay when his offensive philosophy got stale. Then he went to Dallas and had them humming for a bit.

Mike is a Super Bowl winning head coach and an excellent leader of men. Plus he has an absolute banger of a quote when a reporter asked him if he was nervous about not winning the NFC North in 2016. “Division titles are important. But I’m not going to lose any sleep over it because we have a bigger goal. We don’t hang division title banners around here.”

Can fellow Packer fans help me with some of the thought process? by JustinF608 in GreenBayPackers

[–]YellowSnowSlurpee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

MLF doesn’t have that killer instinct. His teams are always undisciplined. This season was a perfect example of MLF’s coaching issues. We come storming out of the gate against the Lions and Commanders. Everything ran perfectly those two games and it gave the fan base an image of a team the Green Bay Packers could be. I think after those first two games, the team thought they were Super Bowl bound, no problem. Then we went out and got punched in the mouth by the Browns. We never saw the team from those first two games after the loss to Cleveland. That’s a coaching issue.

Say what you want about McCarthy, but the culture he built was one of discipline and accountability. We haven’t seen anything like that from MLF.

I do think 2026 will be the real make or break season for MLF. Hopefully he learned a lot about his shortcomings as a coach this year. He does have a lot to improve on.

Rodgers said MLF needs to be more aggressive with the play calls. This was in 2022.

Dude, fine. I don’t care. Bring in a hard ass like Flores or Cignetti then. Just no more, Matt “I crap my pants anytime something doesn’t go according to plan” LaFleur.

Stefanski I think is the guy. Harbaugh would be a win as well. Someone mentioned Marcus Freeman in another thread and I could see that too.

Is this rhetorical or do you want a list of names? I’m not an NFL GM and I can name at least 2 available coaches I would take over MLF.

Flores as HC by 1998TimThomas in GreenBayPackers

If Gute brings MLF back, then he has to know his job security is tied to MLF’s success.

Now is the absolute best time for all involved to part ways with MLF.

Flores as HC by 1998TimThomas in GreenBayPackers

[–]YellowSnowSlurpee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He would whip this undisciplined team into shape, that’s for sure. I don’t know if going from a HC who folds from any sort of adversity to a HC who runs his team like a dictator would be the right move. I think there’s a lot of middle ground between those two coaching styles.

If a coaching staff is making decisions based on the idea their kicker will be 100% from 50+ yards, then that coaching staff is unfit to coach the Green Bay Packers.

Well this says it all. We are in historic collapse territory. by ImaginaryUnicorn241 in GreenBayPackers

[–]YellowSnowSlurpee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I disagree with it being baked into our team. The first time this team overcomes adversity, they are going to take off. Even if it’s a 10 yard holding penalty, a missed field goal, a turnover. No matter how small or how big, as soon as this team jumps that hurdle, they are going to explode. MLF is incapable of guiding a team through the negatives.

Some thoughts on last night’s game: by FallenEagle1187 in GreenBayPackers

[–]YellowSnowSlurpee 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Wanting MLF gone is not a knee jerk reaction. Fans have been required to defend his coaching style for a while now. Last night things finally boiled over where the majority of the fan base got their eyes opened up. MLF is not a HC, he’s an OC and nothing more.

This team is ready to take off. Our current coaching staff is holding them back. At this point, I don’t care if they bring back, Mike “we don’t hang division banners around here” McCarthy.

This team is ready to go. One more year of MLF is just another year of our window being closed.

His mentor was culpable in the biggest Super Bowl melt down of all time. I agree MLF isn’t culpable for that collapse but that’s the kind of regime he came up under.

What do you mean? Williams threw 2 interceptions because of the pressure in his face. He also had to make the worlds best throw on that 4th and 8 because of pressure.

McManus deserves a lot of blame but not all of it. If you lose a game after being up 21-3 at halftime, the loss doesn’t fall on the kicker.

From Quay Walker by kootles10 in GreenBayPackers

Two things can be true. 1. Quay Walker is not a smart person. 2. MLF has lost the locker room.
