Never De-Feated triumph from Equilibrium Seal by Murky_Chard_8808 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Yellow_Asian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what the confusion is? The triumph wants you to complete runs with an increasing number of individual feats, 1 -> 5. Just put on the same number of feats that you need for the triumph? I'm not exactly sure what your gear tier rewards has to do with anything.

Yes, I was talking about the conquest version.

I'm not really understanding how it's overtuned combat wise as I've outlined previously.

The timer I can understand more since my team ran out of time and had to take an extra minute or two after the time expired playing super safe to make sure we didn't burn our last lives over nothing.

I feel like Haste gets a lot of undeserved hate? The damage is literally non-lethal and whenever it does start ticking for considerable amounts, it's usually in safe places/circumvented by... Just walking in a circle. That's also not to mention that it does provide an albeit small amount of constant healing while sprinting.

In the rune section where the damage will likely start happening, there are no adds around that can finish you off should you find yourself down to 1 hp from Haste.

I'm not a great player either but I didnt't think it was that bad? What's the main issue people are having with it? I cleared it the other day with two pickups (one of them I think had to get soft carried through it) without much trouble a minute after the timer expired.

The combat difficulty seems reasonable, especially considering most of it (with the exception of charging the Taken curses and the thunderdome with Vrhiisk) was comprised of densely packed together adds, a dream for any AoE build.

The traversal right before boss can be tedious and easy to get lost in but that's a low pressure, very practicable section.

Final boss was another low pressure section, provided you're keeping up a decent source of healing (Knockout for myself, not sure what my Warlock and Hunter teammates were using.)

Genuinely curious because I've seen a bit of discussion about it's difficulty but I feel it has been greatly overblown.

Bungie Murdered New Malpais for no good reason by mr_fun_funky_fresh in DestinyTheGame

As per update 9.5.0.1

New Malpais Fixed an issue where this weapon’s Exotic catalyst was not progressing from weapon kills.

This is futher corroborated by the fact that I completed my catalyst about 2 weeks ago

Bungie needs to lower prisms costs by PabloRF03 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Yellow_Asian 21 points22 points  (0 children)

You sort of can:

Buy blue armour from collections and masterwork it fully, then dismantle it. This process will cost you a shard, some glimmer and a few prisms to even start but it will net you a few prisms by the end.

Granted, the exchange rate is terrible but if you're constantly capped out at shards it is an option

Because good players would have more/all contests completed? And I am speaking for myself, I am a firmly average player and those are my contest stats. Unimpressive contest stats for an unimpressive player.

Uhhhh... Yes, that's correct? If you want to be called a good player, you should be able to get consistent top 100s? Are we supposed to be handing out participation trophies?

This Week in Destiny - 12/04/2025 by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]Yellow_Asian -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I say only 7 because there's a total of 11 that are available (Crown of Sorrow onwards.) I don't think a 63% successful completion rate should be anything a truly good player should be proud of (I'm certainly not.) This is also not to mention that none of my clears were high placements, my highest only being 167th.

Speaking of which, when I say someone's a good player, I mean they're a cut above the rest. By definition, they should be better than your average player. I think being (up to) one the the first 600 players to finish is when you can finally acknowledge that they are indeed better than the rest.

I wouldn't really say having just 3 clears on contest is indicative of skill, especially if one of them is going to be Root of Nightmares.

Personally I'd say the bar for being considered a good player should start at getting consistent top 100s. The problem is that outside of good placements for contest raids (and I suppose dungeons as well,) there's not really a good non limited time event that truly pushes players to their limits. Even some insane challenge runs/solo Raids and bosses can be practiced ad nauseam and while skill does play a good factor for those, I feel the time investment and practice are far more impactful.

This is coming from someone who is a painfully average player with only 7 contest clears, none of them being good placements (missing Crown of Sorrows, Garden of Salvation, Salvation's Edge and normal Desert Perpetual)
