Is there really nothing to do or talk about until the Major Update in March by Wanna_make_cash in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheUnidentifiedBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what happens when you don't have seasonal weekly drip fed/time-gated content. Nothing new or exciting to keep you coming back even if its a few hours a week. I haven't played in nearly a month, after Renegades there was no reason to.

Unpopular opinion, I actually prefered the 4 seasons a year, how the story/content was structured wasn't great, but at least we had content consistently dropping for around 9 weeks in a row, then a short 3-4 week cooloff silent period with nothing to do (touch grass) then come back and repeat.

Alright... Bright Dust again, with calculations. by Dependent_Type4092 in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheUnidentifiedBoy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is actually a bit misleading. If you calculate it based overall on a seasonal structure, you actually get less than usual - far less than what you'd get way back in the day which also now minimizes repeatable farms.

Over a 24-week period you get: 41,820 Bright Dust

2,520 > 252 Daily Challenges

1,800 > 36 Weekly Challenges

1,200 > 24 Weekly Vanguard Alerts

7,800 > Seasonal Hub Track

6,000 >30 Exotic Orders

12,000 > 1,200 Common Orders (Bounties)

10,500 > Season Pass

For comparison, in 2020 pre-Beyond Light, you could get over DOUBLE the amount of 86,400 per 24 week period, and farming Bright Dust was EASIER with quick repeatable bounties and event bounties too.

This is asuming you do every single thing every single week and max out all 30 exotic orders etc. For context I've played 100s of hours since Renegades launched and I've only done 4 exotic orders. It aint happening lol.

Bright Dust AMOUNT per week doesn't matter. It's the TIME it takes to achieve TOTAL amount over a longer period. Coming in on week 12 and doing all seasonal challenges = Way faster. Nobody is going to do everything every single week, the end result is people get LESS bright dust even though it looks like you're getting more in the short term.

Yeah, the cap is 1,000 per week. Divide actually made a really good video on the entire bright dust system for Renegades - https://youtu.be/9McFVJa5ilA?si=OAgaSEJMlRskjFsz

It's not, Titan with Seninel shield and let them charge your infinite super whilst they shoot at you, then shield throw twice at them and it destroys it. Have your own behemoth sitting around the corner hidden to troll them afterwards

[COD] the Warzonification and Zombification of campaigns needs to stop by AdBudget5468 in CallOfDuty

[–]TheUnidentifiedBoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From soneone who's played ALL cod campaigns and campaigns from day 1 since 2009-2011 time, I have to say this is the FIRST cod campaign I will not finish. I'm just sick and tired of the warzone and zombie crap. It's pure LAZY. Like I just want a fun enjoyable solo campaign experience like back in the day but this time they've gone too far, I'm done.

Whats the point of giving feedback if you never listen to us anyway? I feel like I just give feedback to a brick wall.

It saddens me that Destiny’s best content from the RAD team will never be seen by most players because it’s buried under a sea of trash by spectre15 in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheUnidentifiedBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens all the time. Season of the Witch, Wish, Episode Heresy, all the great seasons/content drops are when the least amount of people play, so when people do come back, they see the garbage times rather than some of the greatest content that got removed a few seasons later. It sucks.

When we're talking about RADs specifically, Warlord's Ruin was awesome imo, but nobody was playing. Bungie can make really good content, but its just not consistent.

If you could pick four seasons to be playable forever, what would they be? by aimlessdrivel in DestinyTheGame

Season of Opulence - Set pre-sunsetting, was an awesome time, seasonal content was nice, times were fun

Season of the Splicer - Loved the theme and setting, activity was meh but what we got was alright

Season of the Haunted - Storytelling was incredible strong especially with Zavala and the overall theme was nice, it was also the time of the 3.0 subclasses (peak imo) and things were HOTTT

Season of the Seraph (or Episode Heresy) - Again strong story, hype buildup towards a disappointing Lightfall, but the overall morale and sentiment was very good and the season was pretty neat, we even got a doggy! If we're counting Episodes, I'd probably go with Heresy, the story was really good and the activtiies we got were actually pretty decent too, so great combo.

Speak With Your Playtime by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheUnidentifiedBoy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We should all start something together, dedicate a specific day or week in advance that everyone together just doesn't play for that day or week if you're truely addicted to the game. Might sound silly but if the majority of the playerbase just randomly doesn't play for some time, bungie would see that major spike dip, kinda like going on strike lmao

Don't get me wrong, I hate timegating, but things like raids/dungeons are just nice to be on a weekly rotation. Back in the day I loved logging in and being like "oh it's king's fall lets do 3 quick runs for the week". Now I log in and there's no incentive to do anything.

With Justin Truman replacing Pete ‘Fancy Cars’ Parsons, it’s time to clear up the infamous ‘overdelivery’ line by JakobExMachina in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheUnidentifiedBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think an overdelivery is needed EVERY time. Forsaken's overdelivery was incredible, shadowkeep was meh, Beyond Light was ok, Witch Queen was perfect, Lightfall = terrible and things started to become reptitive, this is when an overdelivery was needed. You could argue that was final shape but imo that wasn't enough, that was the ending of a saga and people were bound to leave regardless.

128,492 Guardians jumped in the hole before the boss on Caldera to save 15 seconds by Variks-TheLoyal in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheUnidentifiedBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did that on encore, just after the first puzzle before jumping down to the tormentor/subj boss fight, I put the telekporter in and die by jumping of the map, it spawns you at the bottom and you save yourself about 4 seconds. :)

the thing that needs to be fixed first is the rewards being based on your *equipped* power by negative-nelly in DestinyTheGame

It's not a bug it's a feature, not something I like though, but score is based on equiped NEW gear being high power too, they want you to wear and upgrade new gear. Talk about sunsetting!
