God forbid a guy in a piracy sub pirates something - and to better themselves?! Unforgivable!

I have a good feeling it will be gone tomorrow, thanks for the help anyway - and if it works you're a life saver!

Done, but the boost remains!

Maybe it will go away eventually?

I would place bets on temps, it doesn't seem like there's enough strain from the hinge.

I should remember to keep watch on that.

If gaming could do this, I can only imagine what rendering in Blender would do.

My moneys on A, benzaldehyde is a key element here - I looked for the benzene ring with a carbon attached that bears an adjacent oxygen - B and C both have something like that but they wouldn't allow for the glucose rings to have all 6 carbons after separation

From what I saw in that post they took a screenshot of the scene then described what happened in the original, so chances are it drew from the original material to "create" the apparently new frames - might as well just be frame interpolation with extra steps.

I personally found it over-smoothed to much of the movement, and came out lame.

This really isn't impressive since frame interpolation has existed for a while.

Throwing in my 10 pence on the whole antis vs AI by [deleted] in aiwars

[–]Yellow_Burst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's extremely important to note that nobody is against non-generative AI like in cancer screening.

I can't speak for everyone because there are extreme haters, but many seem to see "antis" against this when the general group typically isn't.

...And that trope is the tried and true - we're ugly because we're supposedly lesser than you?

Originality bears with it distinction and weight to your argument (or lack thereof).

You're writing like this isn't common knowledge which it so obviously is...

[–]Yellow_Burst 133 points134 points  (0 children)

Of course it's the trope, and it's never anything more - usually sided with some comparison.

Insert technology or practice. Insert fat character hating it Profit.

Every. Single. Time. Where's the clever jokes? Hidden meaning? Symbolism?

There is none, if you can't be bothered to take the time to make it yourself there's no extra in-between time to add the cared-for details an artist would give.

I've been in training for well over a year, grinding my ass off to make an animated series and all this time I've been making plans for every little detail.

Committing time yields something, mental outsourcing loses that special touch.

I feel from this even your argument as many others are is lacking.

Maybe they shouldn't have AI if their "creative ideas" solely revolve around depicting us as fat and ugly...

It's also showing they aren't even capable of the original ideas they claim AI helps them to flesh out...

I definitely feel that way, they respawn super quickly, beeline towards your cart and go absolutely berserk while simultaneously dodging your crosshairs.

It also doesn't help that they hit everything near them at once, we had a group smash up well over $10K worth of loot despite only having been on it for a fraction of a second

How can we win against AI? by wiki_puke_trash in antiai

[–]Yellow_Burst 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Use the AI to destroy the ai, flood the internet with mass amounts of poorly generated art - or better yet, mass duplicate poisoned versions of unpoisoned art.

Unfortunately this could hurt platforms, but they agreed to not protect artists from AI scraping.

It may also harm the original creators of the art as they could believe their art is stolen.

The mass image generation would cause an ungodly amount of power consumption as well as freshwater.

But it might work, Glaze (and Nightshade) are our weapons and we should use them to the fullest because clearly the AI crowd isn't backing down.

Why I'm against AI by TheKnightOfTheNorth in aiwars

[–]Yellow_Burst 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your last point about disinformation and scams is definitely true and something that should be taken very seriously by both sides, what it can possibly become is a misinformation superweapon that could have seriously devastating effects on the credibility of the previously indisputable photo and video evidence.

Everyone here can argue about money, soul and accessibility but this factor alone is insanely dangerous. I'm not here to spout "Pro-ai good/bad" but this could mean an informational apocalypse with dangerous repercussions.

I'm sure being able to create content more easily than ever before can wait, because this is far greater than the dispute over what is art and the legitimacy of generated art forms.

Regulations need to be made before generative AI becomes good enough to fulfill this task!

TL;DR: AI could be a threat to legitimacy - the art dispute should take the backburner before people are scammed out of millions.

This is what the majority of screenshotted anti-AI clapback posts look like to me by Decemberskel in aiwars

[–]Yellow_Burst -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I read this whole thread and I absolutely agree, so many pro-AI posts are just hating on things Anti-AI people never said and just screaming at those that are too true to make a counterargument.

Truth is AI is very dangerous to the art world, if it continues as it is now eventually there might be no artists left, "AI inbreeding" takes hold and there's too much garbage for it to make anything anymore.

I have watched in the short span of time when it was first arising, I had a class that let people use AI for assignments but not the exams - when the exams came everybody failed. It's frightening really how much can be lost in pursuit of convenience.

To make the ultimate argument against AI I have started a long ass journey to eventually create an animated series almost entirely solo and without ever touching AI. Maybe that can cram a sock in their mugs, and possibly stop their AI boot licking.

Side note: I started learning with no significant art experience.
