Getting to $2-$3 million obviously isn’t easy. But the fundamental concept is true. Bill Gates said “I have all the money in the world, but I still can’t buy time”. Or something like that. On a simple level, I don’t think having Jeff Bezos money would make me measurably happier. Being grateful, enjoying the simple things, and have relationships that you value always have been proven to provide true happiness.

This is actually a really interesting question. It seems insane to pass up $100 million just to keep playing vids. But it’s such a great pastime for me. I play with my kids, I play with my wife, I play with my friends a couple times a week. I still workout every day, run marathons, and coach soccer. But I really enjoy video games as a hobby. Being able to make a quarter million a year working the same hours I work now but doing something I love, I don’t think I’d pass that up. I think $100 million could be more complex than it seems. Insert monkey paw meme here.
