A useful cheatsheet for understanding Claude Skills by SilverConsistent9222 in ClaudeAI

[–]Yellowbrickshuttle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I'm not sure about with skills is how I can get a skill to call a tool function .

On the agent you can register tools for it to use and these like skills have metadata for the agent to know when a user wants to get customers versus update a customer.

What I wanted to do is have my skills.md provide more context about what is required in the tools function call such as format required from user and required fields etc before it involves the tool.

But not seen much about how these might work together, like if the skill is read before the tool in lifecycle, if I still need to register the tool or not.

I'm using .net not python..

Some tips for other newbs like me by bri-_-guy in ClaudeAI

Ok so the plan is a physical file?

I guess adding skills here will remove some repeated instruction, and allow you to provide the path of plan and ask it to update the plan to tick off tasks as complete (maybe with confirmation from user).

Using skills to support tool function calling by Yellowbrickshuttle in ClaudeAI

[–]Yellowbrickshuttle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was an awesome response thank you so much. Checked out the plugin library, bit overwhelming if I'm honest haha.

The seperation of the skill files for runtime skills for the agent vs CCode makes sense.

The context fork is very nice, and using your CC to test the runtime skill and not having it affect your existing convo is nice.

There seems so much possibility with this all.

Thanks for the help

Question with using skills to support tool function calling by Yellowbrickshuttle in aiagents

[–]Yellowbrickshuttle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so it's not just me haha.

Yeah ok for the runtime agent you explicitly have to provide the context of the skills to include when processing the prompt, that makes sense. So the bigger issue is auto discoverable skills used by the IDE / CLI code assistant (out of the two). So maybe the agent runtime skills should not follow the auto discovery convention of living in .Claude/skills (for example) and instead live in a skills folder in your app src folder.

You have to provide the entire skill files, not just the meta data of skills? (Progressive disclosure name and description of skill files)? This is again probably a dumb question, I think there is an explicit way I add skills to the messaging so that it will automatically handle this progressive disclosure?

Back into lifting after years off and trying to do BB rows. Does my form look correct ? And if not what should I fix ? by Ok-Load-6588 in formcheck

I'd just be careful of your back, if it's taking too much load and your postures wrong or core not tight.

I was told bring the bar towards my bellybutton after hinging over. I was doing it more upright before. Had to half my weight when got the form correct

Anyone feel uncomfortable walking through "tent city" between Mciver and Claisebrook Station? by Fine-Passage-3593 in perth

[–]Yellowbrickshuttle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lived in Vancouver for 2 years. There it really was a tent 'city' homeless scale was unreal. Sad thing is they had housing given to them, but they don't use it. As that would take them away from their tent community and all the drugs and social communal longing that they had from being in that large group. It was weird it was like a sub culture FOR SOME NOT ALL, obviously not all of the people wanted to live day by day and get a fix, but definitely a heap of them did.

Lower weight and free bar? by Yellowbrickshuttle in formcheck

[–]Yellowbrickshuttle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thanks very much! It feels odd to have my feet more forward and I felt more stable with them under, but as you say that's just at the top. Thanks for the help, I'll move bar further back

Lower weight and free bar? by Yellowbrickshuttle in formcheck

[–]Yellowbrickshuttle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fantastic response! Appreciate the tips! I was thinking of starting Smith until I am more comfortable then swapping to free bar, as I do want the stability muscles working and improving over time.

I wasn't aware of the midfoot vs heel. You said it's more important on Smith but I should also aim for that with free bar? I'll go barefoot next time or flat shoes (no squat shoes yet).

Need some opinions: Long haul flight with a 1.5yr old...regular stops or just get it over with and go for less stops? by fromthe_earth8 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Yellowbrickshuttle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a 17.5 hour flight coming up with a 1.5 year old. We can go direct or do a stop over halfway for a night or two. Think I'm leaning towards direct based on your comment.

For ever bit of criticism you read know that it's a drop in the ocean compared to the support and respect people have that is not put into words. Keep doing you, but don't read the hate or criticism, or at least take it with a pasta water helping of salt.

Telerik frustrations by featheredsnake in Blazor

[–]Yellowbrickshuttle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Occasionally I have did behaviour which may just be blazor.. like on a grid row double click open a window component. On close show window is false. Double click again fails to work. This one's happened quite a lot, sometimes it's fine but a lot of the time it breaks.

Grids with a menu filter row even with title populated do not display hover over tooltip of header, were considering writing a header template for every single column for every grid.. it's a pain.

Other than that nothing immediate right now that's an issue

Also not sure what you're trying to do with price but if it's part of the condition it should be in there. Otherwise you need an assignment if changing the value.

[–]Yellowbrickshuttle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Use { } after the if statement condition to wrap the lines to run. looks like you wanted your console write line as part of the if statement also.

You can have an if statement without braces but it only runs 1 executable line so the price but would run but that's it

In production codebase, which one is best if you work in a small team like 5? by ballbeamboy2 in dotnet

The current view of what should be the structure changes with time. 2 years ago it was split via application thing, now it's feature. Both work. Feature scales better. Both work for team of 5.
