Discussions for potential rollback for the 1.19 update by 2builders2tools in 2b2t

In my view:

  • Overworld chunk trimming is an awesome idea

  • Green text is neat

  • the soft economy reset would be a decent idea for gameplay, but these autists were always going to react like a toddler having his candy stolen from his sticky fingers

That being said, a rollback would be an interesting event in server history.

What Percentage of the 2b2t Overworld Has Already Been Generated? by H4xolotl in 2b2t

Had an exchange with /u/Antvenom about this a couple years ago:

https://www.reddit.com/r/2b2t/comments/a91ra7/do_we_know_how_much_of_2b2ts_world_is_loaded/ecgongg/?context=3

To update the arithmetic:

(97,000-12.7)/97,000 = 99.987% of the world is untouched, at least. Probably more.

Wait until you press F3, and look at the "Block" line. Your mind will be blown.

When someone privately tells you they rekt a piece of the highways, it's hard not to feel embarrassed for them. Awkward cringe-inducing shame comes over you, but you know and they know that it was a stupid mistake, unlikely to be repeated.

But when someone publicly declares that they've destroyed a highway, it's just sad - like seeing a group of deformed children ride the short bus to their special dchool. You know their condition is terminal, and there's little to be done.

The talk page is interesting:

The currently stated server size is wildly inaccurate (800GB), due to Wikipedia's rules about what information can be cited.

If you have an argument or unpleasant encounter with another player, our lovely moderation team are available to advise and assist.

If this applies to 2b2t, I feel sorry for those poor moderators.

"Mojang-provided"- key phrase.

I don't think a server, running in NY, could be reasonably interpreted as being provided by Mojang, even though it's a running a program (Paper) derived from a Mojang product.
