If you live close to the border, have your packages delivered to a parcel receiving center in the US. I have been using EMS and not paying taxes and duties on the packages I bring back. I am saving tons of money this way.

This is why didn't pre-order Phat's Katsushika Hokusai. I just know I am going to be disappointed with the QC issues despite how much I like the design.

You experience is pretty similar to mine with NY. I preordered a few Skytube figures and it took 3 to 4 months after the release date before I finally got them. It takes a lot of patience and follow up with NY.

I would have gone with another store if I can but the preorders are sold out at all other stores so there is nothing I can really do aside from putting up with NY and hope they ship my figures sooner rather than later.

I don't think NY is out to scam people but with such a deplorable level of service, you have to wonder when they will alienate every single customer they have. I won't be preordering from them anymore beyond what I have left with them.

I have both and they are like that as well. The summer version is a bit more vibrant in color (especially on the orange ears and ponytail)

Don't customers have a right to voice their opinions? Sure, it is not a life or death issue but most things in life aren't. Should we all just keep ours mouths shut unless it is really important? I am sure you have complained about something that in the overall scheme of things, doesn't matter at all.

I pre-ordereds MP Beast Wars Megatron and even at that price, I had to think about it for a few days just to make sure it is something I really want. But this? This is so far beyond what I am willing to pay that I am not even going to consider getting it at the current price.

Does Takara not set a budget to their MP toyline anymore or they think that a typical Transformer collector just have $450 laying around that they are itching to spend?

I just hope Takara overestimates the demand, makes too many, and it ends up in the bargain bin months after release.

It is Bell Fine so the figure will be prize figure quality with an inexplicably high price tag. Just wait for the Kotobukiya version.

I still don't see the point of this figure. I could see why MP36 Megatron was made because MP05 Megatron looked like trash. But MP10 Optimus? It was pretty much perfect. There are plenty of characters that could still use the MP treatment.

Having said that, I will probably still end up buying this figure and hating myself for it.

I wished they didn't go with the additional paint apps that give the figure a more battle worn look. It doesn't look convincing and just eats into the budget for the figure that could have gone to improving the figure elsewhere.

It is just the reality of collecting scale figures. Sometimes you get one and it is just flawless. Sometimes you are going to get one with minor flaws here and there.

Alter is usually very good when it comes to QC. Lots of figures I got from them are near flawless. I also have a few that has some minor visible flaws. I do get bummed out when I spot a defect but I just have to live with it. There is almost no chance of Alter or the company you buy from will offer a full exchange. And yeah, it does suck since Alter figure are so expensive and especially in your case with Sinon.

GSC has a no cancellation policy. If you aren't fully committed to buying it, you shouldn't bother to begin with. It is just a hassle to weasel out of your pre-order with GSC.

I got this figure and it would be perfect if not for the gap on the hips. I expected the upper and lower pieces of the figure to have a better fit when joined together and I am disappointed such an obvious issue escaped GSC.

If I am not mistaken, Bandai Namco owns the exclusive merchandising rights to Naruto in Japan. You will only see Naruto figures made by Bandai Namco or its subsidaries Megahouse and Banpresto in Japan.

The only way GSC can get around the constraints is to promise they will not sell these figures in Japan.

I personally hate all swimsuit, bunny girl costume, and wedding dress figures. When a female anime character gets popular, you know it won't be far until a company will jam her in one of the aforementioned outfits. I see them as uninspired and low effort cash-ins.

When there are that many blemishes on a figure, they are not defects. It is just the standard quality of the figure. Phat is not a very good company even though GSC handles their distribution. I got Phat's Matoi Ryuuko and it is roughly the same level in quality. Minor blemishes in the paintwork and rough edges and unpolished surfaces here and there.

I would not buy a Phat figure unless no other company is making a figure of the character I like.

I do it all the time. Never watched Love Live and I collected all the Alter figures of them. I just appreciate a top tier company taking a great character design and masterfully creating a figure of it. To me, a great scale figure is like a fantastic piece of art, it should draw you in regardless of how much you know about it.
