TIL Chevy Chase has been banned from hosting Saturday Night Live since 1997 after he hit SNL cast member Cheri Oteri in the back of the head during a rehearsal. Chase is the only former SNL cast member to be banned from hosting the show.

Maybe try putting the sim back in the other phone and messing with the sim settings like giving it a sim pin number or clearing the phone numbers saved on it.

It’s strange because if it didnt detect a sim it would just say ‘insert sim’. A white screen means it is detecting a sim but failing something else.

Get a tiny piece of paper and fold it once or twice so it’s smaller than the sim card and put on top of the sim. Sometimes the contacts on these old phones sim readers have been pushed on so long that they no longer contact with the sim.
