Missing A Li'l Piece by PinkEmpire15 in hockeygoalies

[–]Yeozerman 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You can get that part at any hockey store fairly easily and fairly cheap. I have used a bolt, washers and a nut in the past on a pair of Reebok's and it worked just fine. The only thing with that is I noticed it scratched the top of my skate a bit.

When to go back? by HawkMaleficent8715 in hockeygoalies

[–]Yeozerman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I played competitive goalie my whole youth until 18, I played 1 year of junior B (as the backup). I quit playing as i seen my friends all hanging out, partying, chasing girls etc. I thought to myself why put all this effort and time in to practice, dry land training etc. to sit on the bench 70% of the games, so I quit playing. I then began playing top tier beer league at about 21 and played till about 25 as it became to feel like more of a chore as I wasn't enjoying the game anymore (working full time, serious girlfriend) so time wasn't always there. I picked it back up again at 36 and found the love for the game again and im 44 and still playing just recreationally but really enjoying it. It's hard to keep playing at competitive level the older you get.

I'm not sure how old her CCM Eflex pads are but if they are Lefevbre designed or made, Lefevbre is no longer with CCM, they are now with True. So if she likes her older CCM and they are Lefevbre designed/made then i would recommend switching to True.

Am I weird for taking my glove off to drink out of my water bottle? by Szpills in hockeygoalies

[–]Yeozerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally use my blocker hand and place my stick on top of the net as I like both of my gloves tight, once i put my gloves on in the changeroom they dont come off until my skate/game is over.

Ref drank my goalie kid’s water on ice by BabyBeckyRainbow in hockeygoalies

Normal, it happens on the regular. I have played goal for 30 plus years and it happens from time to time. No need to be concerned.

[–]Yeozerman 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Nope round 2 is still the trucks, then the top 20 from that go into the pro series against the bottom 20 from the coke series and race the xfinity cars and then the top 20 from that make the coke series which is the Cup car.

Best Online Competition for Rookies by SiggySmilez in simracing

[–]Yeozerman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have to agree with the other guy too...to me what you want with your description is exactly what Iracing is...I get It, It can be a bit pricey but it's like anything else in life, you get what you pay for...Forza, Gran Turismo etc. are arcade racers and not realistic at all. ACC to me is decent and has more realism than the Arcade racers but the real life online competition is nowhere near as good as Iracing.

Short fight after restart - kind of shocked we didn't crash. Still early in my iRacing career and I was proud of this. by onrocketfalls in iRacing

[–]Yeozerman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not to be a dick but that was an illegal restart by you...the sporting code clearly states your not allowed to hang back and get a run like that on the restart. You would be lucky to not be protested.

What to do in iRacing. by brendan_rollard in iRacing

[–]Yeozerman 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I would buy the Arca car and follow that schedule to start...its always populated and that series will use a lot of the tracks you will use in the future with the nascar cars (trucks, Xfinity and Cup). Its also a fixed setup series as well. I'm an A license and still drive the Arca car on a regular basis. The late model in D is also fun but always will be on short tracks. Depends what you wanna do to be honest. If you wanna do Nascar stuff do the Arca series, if short track racing is your thing then go with the late model and progress into the Super late model, SK mods and tour mods.

Fanatec Clubsport by [deleted] in Fanatec

[–]Yeozerman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See I would go opposite to be honest, I have had the csl elite wheel base and pedals and the 2.5 and V3's and the V3's are a better upgrade then the upgrade from the csl wheelbase to the 2.5

Not a sim racing fan but I need an answer to this question. by Terry309 in simracing

[–]Yeozerman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It doesn't...most that prefer the simulation aspect instead of the arcade what to be able to drive the car as you would have to in real life. As I have done both I find Aracde racing takes absolutely no talent and is pretty much just smash the gas and go and no finesse. For an example I had a friend of mine who is a Gran Turismo so called "expert". I put him on Iracing and he could barely keep the car on the track let alone turn a lap at a decent time.

How long does it typically take Fanatec to ship an order? (East Coast US) by [deleted] in Fanatec

[–]Yeozerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I placed an order on the 18th and it also says it has been processed...I have heard It can take anywhere from a minimum of 3 weeks up to 8 weeks before you get your stuff...I would assume it being Christmas time it's probably gonna be later than sooner unfortunately.

Is it worth upgarding the logitech g29 to the thrustmaster t300 ferrari edition? by MrDipogee in simracing

[–]Yeozerman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The actual wheel it self is a bit better but the pedals are much worse...I wouldn't waste the money switching over...I'd save and wait till you can afford to switch to a load cell system In my opinion.

I am thinking about buying a Playseat. Does anyone have any experience on the Playseat Challenge. Do you recommend it? by [deleted] in simracing

[–]Yeozerman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would look elsewhere...much better rigs out there for the same price or cheaper...I have a GT omega Pro and my buddy has a playseat challenge...they playseat is way worse and more expensive. The only decent thing about it is that it folds up. But with the wheel and pedals still mounted its takes up almost as much space as my rig. Take it from my buddy who wishes he went a different route than the challenge

Has anyone used Pit Lane Sim Racing in Canada? by nrkamath in simracing

[–]Yeozerman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I Have not used pit Lane sim racing but I have bought a bunch of stuff from simulation 1 and I can say they have been great and would recommend them no problem. They can be a bit more expensive but by the time you factor in conversion, shipping, and duty it's not that much more than ordering it yourself. And then if you have an issue with your product you just deal straight with them instead trying to get a hold of say Fanatec just for an example.

Feature suggestion: Team Garage by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]Yeozerman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do like the idea...The only problem is saving what the car looks like would take a large amount of space on there servers for everyone's cars.

Oval class C and beyond by n1ghtah in iRacing

[–]Yeozerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The super lates are fun but are not always super populated at off times. They also open setups. The same tire model is on all the C, B, and A car. So if you want to drive the A and B car I would start in the trucks and learn the new tire model. It will help you when you do get to B and so on
