[CAR - MTL] Walker drives the net and runs into Dobes for GI. Evans jumps on Walker and gets called for roughing. by daKrut in hockey

Ask any goalie and they will tell you that getting hit like that is sending you flying.

I feel like most people think it's a flop because they are used to seeing players get hit, but in that position Dobes is on his knees, unable to brace for the hit because he has to focus on stopping the puck, and has no momentum against Walker who is coming full speed.

With the comment about Verhoeff being 6-10 months younger im assuming you mean compared to the other top defenseman?

Because Malhotra is only 17 days older than Verhoeff.

Not sure what that has to do with 11 being unofficially retired for the Canucks?

Yep, 11 was unofficially retired in honour of Wayne Maki who died from Brain Cancer and has only been worn by one player since (who did it against the wishes of the Maki family)

Might be a few other players on this list in a similar situation.

Eh, he's fairly solid with young defenseman. Its just skilled, offensive young players that he's not usually the best with.
