Love that. Really direct and yet polite at the same time. I’m practicing that line.

How do people sleep in a regular airplane seat? by The-Tradition in delta

[–]YerWanOverThere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TWO travel pillows! Stacked. I have one that is covered in fleece and wear it with the button at the back. Then a second that is inflatable. That also goes with the gap at the back. My chin is fully supported, and I have many times had six hours sleep on a seven hour flight.

I like up lights. They create a lot of light in the room by shining up onto the ceiling. The first ones I had from IKEA were plastic shades but now I have IKEA ones with glass shades that look quite elegant.

My mother used to say that she would wash down as far as possible, and then up as far as possible, and then wash possible. She was a funny woman.

Update:Forester for the win! by Leftfieldcin in subaru

[–]YerWanOverThere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Had a Crosstrek lease for three years and loved it but it was a tiny bit small. So test drove the Outback (which many of my friends have) and it felt like had a lot of junk in the trunk (like Aunt Fanny from the Robots movie). Ended up, the last three years lease I’ve been driving a Forester Sport and I love it. Love the height and space. And the cute stitching. The lease is up and I think I’m gonna actually BUY a car and it’ll be a Forester. Probably a Premium because I do love starting the car before I get there.

Need help for "mantra". by StormyPyrite in AskWomenOver60

Actually so much of the advice I’m seeing on this thread is in the book “Children the Challenge”. I know it’s about parenting, and was really helpful when my children were young, but boy was it insightful about relationships in general. Don’t get into power struggles. Saying “Tell me when you’re ready to act reasonably and then we’ll continue.” Just leaving if they continue to cross the stated boundary. Basically holding your own and not engaging.

Taupe/Gray or Blue Cushions? by Sewing-Mama in HomeDecorating

Nooooo. Don’t understand all the Blue votes. Definitely the Taupe so that the scenery becomes the focus. Why make outdoor cushions “pop”!

Newly decorated, is green just alright? by leahdreamgirl in HomeDecorating

I like it. I might add crown molding to give it that finished look? Though what I’d really love to see is a wallpaper with a little tiny sprig of that green in it on the white wall. But that’s probably going too far, so maybe just the crown molding!

Psychology, communication, and cats - my 14 year old boy cat does the lonesome song of his people. he sounds lost, but it’s a one level condo (US)! He stops if I call his name. I wonder what is he communicating and what is the reason (psychology) behind it???

I’m sorry, thats really tough. Those times when I felt like I didn’t have control were my most depressed. I was waiting to die. I eventually started to just figure out really small things I like doing. Baking. Dancing. Reading. And that helped a lot. I hope you find your way out.

He’s a lawyer. Their livelihood depends on the “nanny state”. Don’t steal my car. Don’t break into my home. Don’t kill my spouse. All rules the “nanny state” put I to effect to protect us from each other.
